He only directed 9 movies. Hard to say, will have to think about it.

He didn’t direct this movie, he wrote it. But you get a gold star. Now excuse me for a few minutes.

Vernon: What if your home... what if your family... what if your *dope* was on fire?

Bender: Impossible, sir. It's in Johnson's underwear.

That last 10 minutes of this movie make me cry like a little b**** every time. The part when they zoom in on Candy clutching his hat as Martin hugs his wife....that's great movie making.

Martin starting to put it all together on the way home...and walking back in the station to see him sitting there. Dead every time lol

Fun fact that I never knew until very recently - Farmer Ted actually farts as he's doing the splits and then says "excuse me." Listen closely and you can here it.

Also would like to add, Molly Ringwald might be the best cast for a teenager ever. Just a unique look and great talent. Kudos for Hughes and the casting dept for that

Comedians who out of nowhere pull off serious feels, they get some respect for range

    John Candy
    Steve Martin (Parenthood, etc...)
    Bill Murray (various)
Robin Williams (Insomnia, One Hour Photo)

    Not sure what others....

Something I've always wondered about this scene - is Carl really Brian's dad?

I was so surprised by Murray in Rushmore…and later in Lost In Translation. So good.
And Robin Williams was just amazing.
