When I think of trailer trash I do in fact think of impulsive, violent people of below average morals and character. So yeah. The kind of folks who shoot a dog because it's an inconvenience to them.
Eh at that point you are just saying people who are worse off have worse morals. Trailer trash implies people who can't afford land and property outside a small trailer. Kristi Neom inherited a large farm. She comes from decent wealth. She doesn't come from poverty nor a trailer park. She comes from privilege and it seems like that upbringing to me is more prone to raise psychopaths than people raised in trailer parks. In fact I think studies even suggest this about wealth and empathy.
When I was a kid visiting my aunt's farm for the summer, she sent us off to find where the cat had left her litter. We called ourselves Animal Finders! and had a blast looking all over the farm. Eventually, we found them and reported back. My aunt put the kittens in a sack and drowned them in a pond. That put a sour note to the whole summer. Farm life can be rough. Not that it makes sense to shoot a healthy dog when you can just take it to a shelter if you don't think it suits your need.
I would like to those studies. In my life people having high moral character is random other than even with parents. Secondly I think most people are moral in their actions. On shooting the dog, she thought it was dangerous. She's on a farm, she probably sees animals get slaughtered for food. . I don't think the story really is Insight to how she feels about dogs other she won't be saving strays. I do think not realizing how society loves dogs and that story really being offensive is incredibly tone def

Go to most college campuses you see this in action. The social science departments have the most empathy and the first bro business sector of the campus has the least empathy.
Those studies aren't about morals, they're about compassion Poorer people relate .more to suffering. You didn't need a study to tell you that
Ik referring to empathy. You understand that term right? What do psychopaths lack? Hence the wealthy class has more psychopaths. More people who can't relate outside their experiences.
Your first study says compassion, not going through each one It doesn't saywealthier people lack compassion This is what it says Across studies, relative to their upper-class counterparts, lower-class individuals reported elevated dispositional compassion (Study 1), as well as greater self-reported compassion during a compassion-inducing video A wealthy person would say I don't get emotional, i maintain composure, stick to the script, and that's why I'm wealthy and it holds poor people back.
There are so many levels to this, detailed in this thread that leave her defenseless you’re focusing on one thing f and overlooking the sea of psycho ****
Shooting a dog doesn't make you psycho. She had a reason. She doesn't like dogs enough to spend the time. I wouldn't shoot a dog but it's not that egregious
I can’t tell if you are legitimately ****ing stupid yes, the 99% of folks on every side of the aisle are just missing that eureka moment you just came up with. Nevermind the fact they don’t illustrate that same sentiment to shelters that put down animals all the time, it must just be Noem hate maybe after some deep thinking you can figure out why you would have to be a disgusting piece of excrement to do what she did
Shooting a dog in this instance is absolutely psychotic behavior. Tf? if I had a friend or family member tell me this exact same Kristi Noem story, I’d be looking at them differently I don’t even know why she put this story out there Is displaying psychopathic behavior and lacking empathy something to be proud of these days?
