Ah, remember a bygone era where politicians were criticized for having misbehaving dogs (Biden) or strapping a dog's kennel to the roof or some **** (Romney)? LOL. And +1 for what @LosPollosHermanos said about training. You have to put time in with any dog if you don't want it to be behaving crazy, but put 8x time for training any good hunting dog.
Yeah, I get what you're saying, but we all assume too much about each other. I grew up hunting with my dad and uncle, especially dove and quail in central and south/central TX. Then would hunt squirrels in east texas. I remember all the work my uncle put in with his great bird dogs, and even with advanced snake training, the best one got killed by a big rattle snake. Dog tried to get away -- was not getting in the snake's face. I still hate snakes with a passion.

I don't know why but everyone I know who has taken a dog out back and blew its brains out has been conservative. Granted it's only like 3 people. But still.
