Sengun held his own vs both Jokic and AD he is tall enough. He also dominated Wemby every time they fought so I dunno why you think he is undersized.

Because he is not taller than tall Cs, it speaks for his game that he can still dominate at times with less weight than some of those behemoths....

AD started out as PF and is undersized.

If AD is undersized why is he is he averaging 24/12/3?

Majority of those "behemoths" are scrubs compared to "undersized" centers like AD and Sengun. Of course not every player is dominant in every matchup that's why you have enforcers like Adams and Landale on the bench for those matchups.

Out of all the Sengun games I watched the only time he looked overmatched is vs Minny Oversized frontcourt, that's like 1 team out of 30. I don't think being small 1/30 times makes you undersized it just means Minny has an ultra size lineup and I don't think that means you take Sengun out of position or start calling him a shorty.

We need an athletic rim protector, which we can get in the 2nd round...with our lottery pick, we should draft best available player and Edey is not that guy. He's gonna be another Luka Garza: buried on the bench

That’s just ludicrous. We need size and he solves the issue that’s plagued us for years.

Edey won't have the same success in the league...he moves like his feet is stuck in concrete. That's why he's projected late 2nd round

if you'd saying "Rockets should try to get a late 1st or early 2nd pick to steal Zach Edey in the draft" that'd make more sense and prolly well received. however, saying the Rockets "need to take Zach Edey" with the #9 pick is hard to resonate with anyone here.

i see where the Yao comparison coming from and i agreed to a point, but i doubt even Yao himself would be picked #9 in a draft in today's NBA, not to mention Yao is actually much better shooter/passer and even bigger (7'6" 310lb.), and was drafted 22 years ago.

Yao would be picked no 1 cuz he would score 40 a game in GLeague while shooting 40% from 3 and 85% from ft line.

Yao actually had a pretty good shooting stroke pretty similar to Porzingis he just played in the wrong era and got coached by Tom Thibs and Jeff Van Gundy.

You are correct. We could almost certainly drop to 15-18 (out of the lottery) and likely get Edey and that would net us an additional pick. That’s would be a win win scenario.

Yep no idea how this thread is still alive. He’s slower than Luke Garza and that’s saying something.

Yao was athletic. He could take the ball full
Court. He ran well on the break. Can this dude do that?

All this All Star talk needs ro chill. The man can’t/won’t pass, doesn’t play within offensive flow of the team, and has an effort issue on the defensive side. Good possibility he is a Christian Wood type player. Hopefully not but all this All Star talk is quite premature.

Bruh if Edey was as fast as Jokic he'd be a top 5 pick.

I wouldn't draft Edey with the last pick in the draft. He'll never be an NBA player.
