Only this group of assholes would let a reserve outfielder with a .700 OPS hit two homers…. Not sure what is more shitty, losing 5-0 after one inning or Bregman chocking in the 8th and then promptly having a AAA pitcher give up a jack in the 8th. Seeiously …. If their solution is to play Singleton and avoid looking at the standings, then they deserve to lose.
The signs were there when this core group couldn't win one home game in a seven-game series for the second time. It's a shame, too, because last year's ALCS winner was always going to beat Arizona in the World Series.
