What are your expectations of Paul George Is it me or does not one seem to have major expectations of him When OKC lost with him and Russ. . . . everyone blamed Russ Clippers is was all about the injuries IF they lose this year. . .expect all the blame to be on Harden Is he the eternal Robin to someone else's Batman? Rocket River
At OKC, WB became a severely diminished player during PG's time there and was viciously ridiculed for it. Well deserved. He responded by deferring, which allowed Paul George to blow up and go next-level. Before WB laid his ego down, PG had to pretend they were equals which stifled the team. IMO, PG is not a Batman; he is a Robin++, which isn't bad at all. IMO, unless Harden implodes like a year ago, he won't be blamed if the Clippers fail this year.
Yet. . . if they don't go further . . . it will be every bit PG's fault as it is Westbrook and Harden IMO Rocket River
I like Zu, very nice center. it’s true that Clips were better with small ball against the Mavs and the Jazz a couple of years ago, but that was just situational adjustment. this is still a Big Man’s league. the Excel Spreadsheet movement, with their blog boys and Sloan conferences that claimed otherwise, is totally de-bunked by now.
Come on man, don't be naive. The Harden haters are just waiting for the moment of failure to pin this all on him. Harden will also give him good reason since he will have a couple of those "Harden Drunk" games that he tends to have in the playoffs every year. His only hope is not being eliminated despite a horrific offensive showing. If Kawhi's knee doesn't blow up, he has a good chance of that happening.
You can't say who's fault it will be ahead of time. Gotta see how the games play out. If PG plays like a superstar, you can't blame him. We'll see. If the Clippers win it all, then we can debate who deserves the most credit.
Yeah no argument from me that this isn't the same Harden. I was just guessing that fatigue may be a big factor in why his performance seems to swing between extremes. But I think you agree that this version of Harden can still be good enough to help the Clippers to get to the finals. If Leonard comes back healthy, this team could end up peaking at just the right time.
what Kawhi did to KD last year in the playoffs before he got hurt was eye opening to me. Healthy Kawhi could easily be best player in league. His problem is he's never healthy.
I hope they get healthy. I really want Harden to get a ring. He deserves one. He's easily the best player ever to not have a ring and I don't think it's close. Usually though he gets bad luck in playoffs and everyone on his team is injured. Will his fortunes finally change with the team that is always injured?
Plumlee on Offense is just sawft. Got the ball a couple of times under the basket and could not convert Rocket River
