Like it was designed to thwart the Astros juggernaut (b*tch).

'Stros have lost 11 of its last 12 extra-inning games.

Except, of course, if you look at the data and analytics instead of "he didn't play my favorite player and I don't understand why so he sucks!"

The Astros are 17-31 in extra innings since the advent of the ghost runner. Dusty Baker was an abysmal 17-29. Dusty was also a -10 for his tenure in expected wins. So far, Espada is a -2, and his 0-2 in extras.

    Both guys are/were ****ing idiots.

Astros executed the most inept extra inning game ever.

Offense made 3 outs with only two batters, then the pitching lost on one pitch.

Incredible. Maybe serving a slam is the only thing worse.

The Big 3 need not pitch tomorrow, Montero included. They’re all overused and most the other guys have pitched better anyway. Hope Javier plays well and offense scores. Another f***ing wasted game today and Abreu added to his blooper reel of ineptitude.

I'm not a dusty hater, but the argument against his certain peculiar decisions is one based on data and analytics. The argument for him is he wins games, so trust that he knows what he's doing.

Singleton starting Sunday, I would think.

Hope he gets a few hits or walks or whatever.

At this point, the only word on the subject is limited to Clutchfans and perhaps certain media.
As obvious as it seems here, I don't think Crane is even considering it.

You should aready know Houston sports journalists are soft. Evan Drellich is an ass but he was at least right about that.

I think it's past time to disband the Jackson-Bags committee

Chandler Rome isn't soft and Astros fans get pissy that he isn't a homer. He kept pushing about Chas last year. Dusty said at the end of the season that the Astros media (Chandler) was a big reason why he was ready to retire.

I'm a little concerned with Pressly, hitters are squaring him up more than ever right now. Having said that, him (and Hader) have had some absolutely brutal BABIP luck. I don't care how loud the contact is, a .481 BABIP is extremely unlucky. Pressly still gets K's, avoids walks, and doesn't give up many deep fly balls. Even with a decline in quality of contact, that profile should not be a bad reliever.

I get that losing is frustrating (man do I get it) but the offense and starting pitching are looking good, aside from the embarrassment at 1B I don't think there's a lot to change right now. The underlying data from Hader and Pressly is far more promising than the results so far, and B. Abreu seems to be rounding into form after the slow start.

Nobody outside of Houston cares about what Chandler Rome has to say (nor do they care about his “connections” or hurting his feelings).

That’s what mostly defines a “soft” media market. Meh effect locally…. And zero impact nationally.
