I have a modest interest in following what Tesla does, so I am unable to speak to their past history in regards to layoffs. I was reading non Tesla things last night and the conversation swerved/shifted to Tesla. I checked around to find the basis for the rumor about layoffs and came across Tesla's efforts to get traction in the Indian car market.

This thread usually provides enough news/stories about Tesla to keep me satisfied.

More bad news for Tesla. If you're not shorting this to $50, you're an idiot @astros123

    Affordable car indefinitely suspended
    Gigafactory Mexico suspended indefinitely
    Mass layoffs
    VP's bailing
CT's are put on hold. Factory output is low. CT is a massive failure.
    Demand is down
All inventory vehicles removed and discounts removed
FSD lowered to $99 a month, screwing anyone who purchased it at full price
    Competition is catching up
Gary Black sold all 300 shares

And now Musk is demanding another massive compensation package when the company is floundering. Nobody cares about robotaxi.

What is your bottom? Some are calling as low as 110. I still think we might see 135.

Early June is the bottom ... .provided the market doesn't tank.

Musk is intentionally tanking the stock.
This is similar to the move Apple made when they went from hardware (cellphone) to software (app store).

    1. you keep b****ing about people saying tesla is easy to make money on. i pointed it out. gave you a heads up multiple times. are you not entertained?

    2. if musk is intentionally tanking the stock, he needs to be removed.....something something as a ceo his job to the shareholders is to create value. not tank it.

I would say Aug 8 will be the next major event. If it's a flop, look out.

What SG is trying to do is defend Elon and credit him for the stock decline as one of his genius moves instead of, you know, blaming the actual problems at Tesla.

What SG is actually doing is saying Elon is committing securities fraud, which is a criminal matter. It would go well beyond "remove the CEO".

    Apple has been about
    • Design
    • Engineering
    • Intellectual Property
    • Etc
    for many years.

The actual manufacturing & assembly of products tends to be contracted out rather than Apple doing it directly.

If Apple needs more product, then it tends to be the companies that are on contract to figure out how to get it done.

if Apple needs less product which could lead to reduced hours and/or workforce in the manufacturing and assembly plants, then it is for the companies on contract to give the bad news to their employees.

I have it as likely too late in the game for Tesla to switch to being like Apple and do mostly

    • Design
    • Engineering
    • Intellectual Property
    • Etc

    and not much manufacturing.

I'm not sure what triggered you. I simply asked what you think is the bottom. I don't have the patience for degen trading, but more power to you if you do well at the casino.

Musk has said/done several things that is directly counter to keeping the stock price high. You don't have to go full Mary Berra making some of the most dumbass claims, while embarrassing the politicians who cheered her on.
It's plainly obvious he is rocking the boat, for better or for worse.

Perhaps we should investigate inside trading in Congress. That seems to be the cool thing now

2.5 years now with the Mach-E. No issues. Will take in for a recall service in the next couple of months, but outside of that, it's a good car--especially for local driving.

I should note that I've had people come up and inform me that I'm not driving a real Mustang. OK, sure.
There have also been more than a few ICE Mustang drivers who want to race me or swerve close by. Not sure why the anger, but they'll be driving EVs before too long.

The ignorance displayed by some people.....quite interesting to see.

Like those people keying a Tesla...why? Why does it bother you?
