Cali built it's fleet on Obama era tax credit policy, plus a big heaping of state-level policy. You can't just give Biden credit for every progressive thing that happens in this country.
Obama solar subsidies were awful as they were capped to a certain $$. Biden solar subsidies are uncapped for 10 years and includes extra incentives for building solar in low community areas and for using union labor. If you listen to First solar earnings call (largest publicly traded solar company) they specifically state that bidens subsidies have turbocharged their business much more than what Obama did. Obama energy policies were a massive failure
Im pretty sure its Obama era clean energy subsidies that are the only reason why Texans don’t have grid failure every time it gets below 35 degrees or over 100 with the massive ramp up of wind farms that happened here in the state. Yes the grid failure is an Abbott fck up for trying to stick it to the rest of the country and make his rich friends richer. However it did showcase what a massive success the wind energy ramp up from the Obama years was. It’s the only thing saving Gregg Abbotts political career here oddly enough. Had Obama not implemented the Solar Tax incentives, Texas would not have wind energy to supplement the grid and the grid would fail consistently.
