It would be one thing if Hader needed the work. If our starters were going deep into games. The fact is, the opposite is true. It reads as though he is trying to win every game by expecting/hoping for late inning comebacks. So he puts Hader and Pressly in there to keep it close. Problem with that is they wont be available when we need them in games where we are ahead by 1 or 2. Reeks of desperation? IDK, maybe. Maybe he is feeling some pressure to win right now.

If we miss out on the playoffs by a game or two… and we look back at the season of how much of a leash they gave Abreu… someone is going to need to be fired. I don’t know if that someone is Espada, Brown, Bagwell, or the team chef, BUT SOMEONE.
Jim Crane isn't gonna fire himself. He gave Abreu the contract and the money he still owes Abreu is the reason they are gonna give him a long leash. Best case is that Crane realizes he needs to stop pretending to be an MLB GM and steps back from personnel choices.
LOL, Dusty had the deepest pen in the game AND never had to deal with a starting rotation like the one Espada is dealing with. Even after the injuries last year and before getting JV back, we had 5 guys who generally gave you competitive innings The two situations aren't even remotely similar, but I know you don't really give a **** anyway, DOF
The situations are different, yes, but I will say Dusty’s usage of bullpens were probably his best strength. Espada using Hader in all these games while down has been head scratching to say the least.
I am okay if we are down 1 using Hader... any more than that... unless it is do or die situations, does not sound prudent.
He strikes out the side on 10 pitches would be the funniest. 9 strikes and one incredibly wild pitch that beans Mike Fiers.
I’m okay doing it if he hasn’t pitched lately but he’s come into way too many games while down this season.
