Also in follow up to this - where did I say anything about not tolerating or trusting people?

I didn’t say you weren’t and if I gave that impression I apologize. I was giving a specific response that why I myself don’t spend much of my time criticizing Abrahamic religions is because I believe in inclusiveness for inclusiveness sake.

To expand on it further there is a lot of criticism of things like DEI as though it’s only because people are “wokies” who just want to change US culture. The fact is that US culture has always been pluralistic. Inclusiveness and tolerance isn’t just a matter of “wokeness”. It’s a matter of living in a plural society without being in constant conflict.

Okay - understood. I thought maybe I didn’t communicate well.

I think inclusiveness and appreciation of people is very important. My point I suppose is that religion doesn’t get a pass. We as a people will point out/call out or even work for social policy changes but religion often gets a pass and I don’t agree with that.

Perhaps I’m missing where religion gets a pass. People frequently criticize religion. This thread is a criticism of religion and hasn’t been locked nor the OP banned. There are plenty of threads criticizing Christianity.

My point is that we live in a world and society with many religions and religious people. Spending a lot of time living in fear and distrust of them I don’t think is productive or practical.

London, under Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan, has become an unsafe place for Jews.

Watch this video. I lived there. Our daughter was born in London. London has fallen.
