Sounds cliche.. but dependable starting pitching is everything for this team (and all teams). Blanco having 2 consecutive quality starts against the exact same lineup (which is an above average lineup) actually outweighs all the duds they’ve had over the last week combined. Those other guys won’t be starting many more games for the Astros… but Blanco now has a chance to be there all season if he can keep this up.
Season started off pretty poorly, but, what, 3 games behind the Rangers now? All things considered, that's not too bad. Hopefully they can at least stay close until they get healthy again.
Houston has gotten “lucky” in the sense that the other teams in their division have not started that hot. Things would look quite a bit bleaker if they were in the AL East.
Yeah as soon as I posted that - I quickly remembered the starting pitching situation - but it’s all good. As much as I always wanna bail and stop watching - I never can, shitty start but I know we can bounce back.
good thing astros aren't in the AL East but yes nobody in the AL West are on fire to start the season. this season might be another 'weak' AL West division.
It's been quite a while....but finally a very satisfying win. Our offense is really starting to click....that starting pitching though. Can't wait for the big arms to return.
It's this bad now... https://babylonbee.com/news/ladies-and-gentlemen-we-got-him-angel-hernandez-finally-arrested
Alex Bregman not being in the Lineup really helped, he is really been struggling and Free Agent Distraction is hurting his own mindset and the Team.
