I think Trump is an idiot that should have retired from politics. You're naive if you believe that the Washington Establishment cares about, let alone acts upon, your best interests. They have been stealing the wealth of poor and middle-class Americans for decades now. The result is that they have ANNILATED the standard of living of poor and middle-class Americans. Anybody who believes that the Washington Establishment cares about the well being of poor and middle-class Americans is a FOOL.
Republicans are the worst of all. They are all about giving the billionaires tax cuts and loopholes, and could care less about the working man, the elderly, the mentally ill, and the people working their asses off to make ends meet. They spend their time tweeting lies and propaganda, and bragging about voting no towards anything important that actually helps people. They vote no over and over against funding programs and facilities for the mentally ill, social services, affordable healthcare, measures to stop price gouging, capping limits for prescription drugs, regulations meant to protect workers and or civilians from health and safety, workers rights, women's rights, domestic violence victims, affordable rehab for drug addicts, and on and on and on. They call it all Communism, then go spout what fine God living Christians they are, and how Democrats are evil. You have Republicans calling mass shootings God's doing. It's sickening. Those fine Christians laughed it up pushing guns at an NRA rally, while down the road parents were burying their children in Uvalde. They have no shame. They have no empathy for others. Remember how they laughed and made jokes about Pelosi's husband getting bashed with a hammer? How sick is that to have so much hate for a human being that you find humor in a vicious assault? It says a lot about people. Humanity, respect, and good will towards others at its worse. What kind of Christians are they? It's like they get off on seeing how bad they can make things, so they can blame Biden. They get off on making fun of people, calling them horrible names, making up conspiracy theories, or simply just directing hate towards certain people. It's become a party of unethical, immoral Trump loyalists who spend more time trying to hurt people and deceive people than help them. They are traitors, who bow and kiss the butt of that sociopathic lying con and criminal. Why? He has no loyalty to anyone but himself. He just wants butt kissing loyalists who will repeat his lies, and defend his crimes, and make him King of his castle. He poisoned the party. The only people with an ounce of truth and integrity are being forced out and blackballed. It's all about MAGA now.
This is a common and easy attitude to have given tht most of our interaction with government is through things like taxes and regulation. This misses that the government including the federal government does do a lot to benefit all levels of society. Consider building infrastructure such as roads, bridges and airports. Many rightfully worry about the economic affect of the collapse of the bridge in Baltimore now consider if government didn’t step in to rebuild it or for that matter that the bridge and port of Baltimore were originally built with significant public investment. Those were done because it was recognized they were going to be significant benefits to the US economy to have things like ports to move cargo and bridges to allow easy transportation across bodies of water. No one is going to deny that there is corruption and major inefficiency in government. Pretty much any large human organization has that. That doesn’t mean that the US government is completely out to enrich a small minority and comparing the history of the US to many countries the US government has done a good job. For example compare us to countries like the Philippines or Russia. Countries with large populations and vast natural resources yet have been mired by corruption. Of course the US could always do better but that is the point of having a democratic republic with a Constitution.
I don't know about you guys, but fear of my appliances being seized by Democrats ranks down there with my fear of being probed by some alien in a UFO. It's the least of my concerns these days. We have far more important issues to address in this country.
