There is no maybe. The play-in is one of the best changes the NBA has ever introduced regardless of LeBron's complaints the first year. He loves it now.
Wow, Nuggets fall to the #3 seed. I bet $$ Dallas sits people vs OKC to keep Den out of their bracket.
Kings have been a completely broken team since losing Malik Monk. They are 1-5 in their last 6 games. They just cannot guard and their offense is very easy to shut down when things get tight because Fox is the only option. They had a four-point lead and the ball with ~1 min left against the Suns and just imploded against a Suns team that is famous for being pathetic in the 4th quarter. Now I won't get my #9 vs #10 Lakers vs. Warriors because the Kings will slide into #9. EDIT: I suppose the Lakers could lose to the Pels Sunday but I doubt it.
Lebron has needed the play-in the past couple of years after talking trash about it. The Lakers and the Warriors continue to flex like they made some big accomplishment because they made it in the play-in, when technically they are a lottery team just like us, lol.
The Kings choked it away tonight at the end. They aren't going to win in the play-in no matter if they are #8, #9, or #10. And the top of the West is a 3-team tie. This regular season goes down to the last day.
My wish was for guaranteed elimination of one of the Lakers/Warriors in the #9/#10 game. As it stands, Lakers will easily beat the Suns, the Warriors will easily beat the Kings then the Suns and both will end up being in the playoffs. One upside is OKC will face a weakened, tired Warriors in R1 and the Lakers will have a very difficult series against either the Nuggets or T-Wolves.
typical thibs - all they have to do is lose and they avoid the sixers (most likely) and play the magic.
