Much like our Houston Rockets the previous two years they have built a roster to lose. Like we literally just watched what a difference it is to go from below replacement level players with our young core to competent vets with our young core and how that effects winning.
Ya put fvv on the spurs instead of rockets this year and they have a better record, despite how inept their coaching is
Pop is really just there to coach him not to be a dick and play the right way one day. But he is already sort of a douchey French. If he sticks it out with San Antonio as Lillard did with Portland for much of his career, then hats off. I am more interested in how many teams he joins than his actual game.
There is more to basketball post play than being able to shoot 3's. Alpi destoyed Wemby down low. Also, the more weight Wemby puts on the harder it will be on his joints. That is when "history" may kick in. Also, Alpi will be getting stronger too and he is not near close to being in same height range that has been shown to coincide with career longevity problems. In all reality, it would have been perfect if we could have drafted Wemby (discounting all injury concerns) because he and Apli cover each others weaknesses perfectly. I would still be VERY cnecerned about "history" if that happened but with Alpi at the 5 and Wemby at the 4, we would be set as long as they were healthy.
Y’all sure you’re on the right board? Victor & Spurs circle jerk is that way —> https://www.spurstalk.com/forums/ Needs to be reposted again:
Nobody is denying Wemby is a great prospect that's just a straw man argument you are making. Nobody is saying his future isnt bright clearly he has the most potential since Lebron the problem with you is you confuse future with present. Impact doesn't mean wins or losses? So what do you think impact means then? Lolwut. When you say a player impacts a game so much and they lose every game they play is that good or bad?
46 wins is more than double of the 19 Spurs have. All I know is he isn't goat rookie or a top 10 player like what many here are claiming cuz 19 wins is embarrassing AF. He can be that in the future but not now.
He is easily the Anti Duncan because Duncan was the most down to earth, boring looking guy that got it done on multiple occasions......best PF ever and a darn good Center at that. This is some flashy, alien looking dude who might not win that much......we shall see.....at least Pop would not be there for him the entire time.
I really don't understand what the point of discrediting great players on other teams is. I'm a Rockets fan and I only cheer for their success but I'm not gonna pretend that some of the other players are incredible. I mean look at this ****. This guy is 7'5 doing a shamgod in the lane. That's insane.
Maybe if he was not on the Spurs but people do not have to behave like a cheap hooker either... I stand by my argument that Duncan was never flashy and won much more. If he won 5 championships, that would convince me though.
