Or spin is being emphasized, along with max effort even if you can only go 5....and that puts more strain on all pitchers elbows.

Framber has been insanely durable for awhile now, with a really heavy work-load including post-season. Arms were never designed to withstand this (without steroids).

This is bullshit. Just put out a press release saying Framber has a sore elbow and is scratched for tonight and he will be getting tests… instead of having this bizarre and cryptic ****.

Having said that - elbow soreness is really bad and Framber pitched hurt the second half last year. Let’s hope the work load has not caught up to him.

Joe Espada out with elbow discomfort. Jimy Williams corpse will replace him.

I bet they were ready to announce more... and 2nd opinion/conflicting opinions prevented that.

Espada also saying "its a good sign we didn't put him on the IL... yet" is definitely not necessary.

I'm gonna take the optimistic outlook on this.

There are a lot of days off coming up, after Saturday they can effectively go to a 4 man rotation until May 4 and that's with Verlander coming back in the next week or 2. Framber can be sidelined a month and we should be just fine.

Hopefully Blancos changeup excellence is here to stay.

When they "aren't concerned", I'm very concerned.

It’s not that Dana Brown has no poker face in these situations. It’s just that anything he says either makes zero sense or carries zero meaning.

Dana has reached Pancakes level of "take the opposite of whatever he says as true." If he is not concerned then Framber is cooked.

I feel like it’s disingenuous and even a bit condescending for the GM to publicly say he “isn’t concerned” about his number 1 starter having “elbow soreness”. That’s definitely something you would be concerned about right?

Perhaps it’s not his elbow after all.

Brown really seems to give zero f**ks about media statements. It's like he autoselects the first thought that comes to mind and that's his response. I never put much weight into GM comments to begin with, but his can be completely ignored.

Maybe he has good reason to not be concerned after initial conversations, but yeah it's stupid to make that statement..not that he cares.

He was brought in to evaluate talent, he can be the biggest liar on earth if he succeeds at that.

If he needs TJ surgery you probably non-tender him in the offseason. You don't pay his arbitration for 1/2 a season at best.

Maybe do a deal like the Brewers did with Woodruff.

My friend said the ban of sticky stuff might've played a tiny role in this as well. I never thought about that.
