Biden has not been polling well. The economy is normally voters #1 issue by a wide margin. Stocks maybe doing well but grocery prices have doubled, rent has doubled and interest rates have doubled the last few years and it doesn't matter if its Joe's fault or not, it's going on while he's President. People are not happy. It's also likely Russia attempts to disrupt the U.S./World economy even more heading into November to throw the election fin favor of Trump. This can be done but manipulating energy prices for example. So Biden is facing a rough road.
Grocery prices havnt "doubled" they're up 29% since 2020. It's just funny how everyone keeps repeating the same disinformation and then wonder why folks believe it. Rent hasn't doubled or anywhere close to that either. Rent has been down for the 16 months. It's just funny how braindead most people are in the era of internet The right has an entire ecosystem on pumping disinformation and conspiracies
It's amazing how moronic you have to be to take the claim three categories of things have "doubled" as scientific measurements. Prices are up. People are feeling it. You have any other theories as to Joe's unpopularity? It's those reasons you dope.
What's moronic is claiming something has doubled when it's not. The only dipshit are folks who lie non stop when we live in the era of internet when you can Google things. The ratio of food expenses to income is 11.3% right now versus 9.8% pre pandemic. The USDA lays out a detailed report. Wages have risen faster in the past 2 years than at any point in the past 2 decades. Funny how nobody mentions this https://www.ers.usda.gov/data-products/ag-and-food-statistics-charting-the-essentials/food-prices-and-spending/#:~:text=U.S. consumers spent an average, from home (5.64 percent). I just don't get why Americans are so braindead stupid.
@HTM and @Space Ghost are paid by the word. Funny thing is I'm not sure if either are actual US citizens or not. Eh, who cares...
If things are going so swimmingly as you're attempting to represent why is Joe Biden one of the most unpopular presidents in modern American history?
If biden is one of the most unpopular presidents then it's weird how democrats had the best midterm showing since the 1930s and how they've won every special election since 2020. They also swept every governors race in 2023 including in deep red state like Kentucky. Democrats have never had this much successful at the ballot box in decades. You can keep clinging onto polling but every actual election at the ballot box democrats have swept. Again this isn't to say folks that high gas prices and high interest rates don't suck. They absolutely suck which is why the fed needs to cut rates right now (they're planning 3 cuts this year) and why we need to push ukraine war into a peace deal. Obama was "popular" yet Republicans won every special election and swept every race during his midterms. No president will ever be popular again as social media has brought out too much hate and disinformation The issue is you spinning braindead disinformation. You can claim biden sucks and that's 100% your right but grocery prices and rent havnt doubled. I just don't get why you folks have to spin disinformation and lies.
I'm not spinning "disinformation and lies." No reasonable person expects someone express the increase people are experiencing in prices down to the percentage point. How specific does one need to be? You could claim someone who is off .001 is "spreading disinformation and lies" - it's not really the point and you're being pedantic. There is widespread discontent with grocery prices, rent, insurance and interest rates all being high. That's ^ not "disinformation and lies" - it's the reality and a big reason Biden is so unpopular. Have you not noticed an increase in prices for all these things during the course of the Biden administration? It's hardly apt to make a President popular.
I've also noticed every country in the world deal with the exact same price increases. No developed country in this world was able to escape inflation. What's true is the usa had the fastest recovery and biggest wage gains out of any country in the world No country in the world is even remotely close to how strong usa economy is. China is dealing with 20%+ unemployment with its stock market collapsing. Europe is seeing massive protests with Germany/UK dealing with a major recession. There's a huge difference between 30% price increase and 100% which you claimed. If your boss told you that you'd be getting a 100% raise this fall but then only gives you 30% you would absolutely be upset. Stop gaslighting people
1. It doesn't make anyone, or most anyone, in the American public feel better if people in other countries are struggling. People care about their own situation first and foremost, and they have been getting killed trying to pay for rent, groceries, insurance, cars and many other types of things. Interest rates have also doubled [don't kill me if I'm off a percentage point here]. Purchasing a home is extremely difficult and probably about as unaffordable as its ever been. 2. I'm not "gaslighting" anyone. Claiming three categories of things have "doubled" in price, while they have increased sharply, is not a statement meant to be taken literally and reasonable people who aren't trying to be intentionally difficult and pedantic recognize that.
You keep saying stuff that's completely detached from facts. Polling is NOT showing individual americans are struggling. Wealth to debt is at record highs, delinquencies are at pre pandemic levels and wealth is at record highs. When you ask individuals about their personal situation a vast majority say they're doing great. https://www.axios.com/2024/01/17/americans-are-actually-pretty-happy-with-their-finances The issue is you right wingers spew disinformation and conspiracies all day about the facts about the national economy. Individuals think the national economy is crap while claiming they're doing good
So did prices double as you claimed or not? If you lied..... then maybe it's easy to understand why Biden is unpopular when people just lie.
Can you imagine the difference if Trump had been in charge? Inflation would have been much much worse. He loves catering to price gouging billionaires screwing the average person every chance they get. You know, the types paying $850,000 a ticket to dine with him, pay his legal bills, and persuade him to give them even deeper tax cuts and tax loopholes.
