The key is to prevent him from getting any separation on the floor to get where he wants to shoot. I agree with you, if you let him line up, he will shoot over literally everyone - so you work on denying him the ball at his spots he wants and you try to make him uncomfortable. Jabari may have the side speed to do that.
"Darko will put LeBron in the spin cycle. And Darko will have a better career." - probably someone on CF, 2003
I think it's fair to say, his agility at 7'5" is remarkable. It doesn't mean he's quick though. He BLEW By 7'4 Wembanyama #shorts - YouTube
Maybe wimpy and chet tangle up during a fast break and 4 extremely thin adults walk out of the wreck...
One day he will fall ugly and break his leg or torn his achilles and will never be the same and in his 5th year he will have to retire or go back to France.
If you think Wemby is overmatched on the low block, hunt that matchup out and iso him there for an easy bucket - you are running a post centric offense on that possession because you are saying I want the offense to either be a bucket backing down on Wemby or a pass to an open shooter or cutter if his team doubles. It’s literally what that scenario is.
On a particular possession? Sure - or on an offensive rebound it can happen as well. I thought you were saying the offense overall had to be post centric, and that I don't agree with.
It was more like: "He's european, he learned fundamentals, he plays teamball, not like the And-1 tour Hot Sauce Lebron james kid. "
Dudes hoping he has some career ending injury are the same dudes that would have been freaking out if we'd won the lottery. Sour ass much? He could possibly end up with injury issues, but to hope for it, as a fan, is BS. Karma's a B.
Who cares his team has less wins than Daishen Nix and Silas. Also the Spurs team with largely the same cast last season had more wins than this season. Wemby is a stats machine and that's about it. Maybe he will be better once he grows up he is only 19.
well he's a 20 year old rookie who's being coached by a complete clown, on a team that's doing everything possible to tank that purposely played without a point guard, and they're only a -3.4 when he's on the court. He's easily on track to take over for jokic when his run ends as the best player on earth
Jokic is fine but he never came close to Hakeem like all his stans seem to think. I would have wanted to see Wemby against the 80s Bad Boy Pistons hacked to near demise.
I did not want him specifically due to the very real injury concerns. I wish the guy well(not too well since he is a Spur) but history says he will have a short career. He may be the most dominant player ever in that short career but chances are he is done by the time he is 30.
