One thing I haven't seen discussed his how a future pick is discounted. I'd always read that if you trade a future pick it's value is considered that of one down, so a 2025 2nd pick would essentially have a value today of a 2024 3rd pick. I did a little searching (not a lot), but found this draft value chart that also show the value of a future pick per round... https://www.thehuddlereport.com/tradechart.shtml

Essentially using the above the value is a mid-2nd pick. Whether you use the old way of thinking or this latter approach, we got arguably a Top 5 WR ( https://www.foxsports.com/stories/n...fferson-leads-loaded-list-of-top-10-receivers ) for a future pick and got two wildcard picks also (5th and 6th). Those extra picks can be used by Cas to maneuver in next 2 drafts.

Diggs at 30 still has at least 2-3 really good years left in his tank. This was a power play by Caserio and one you have to admire. I trust Coach D and QB Stroud will keep SD in-line and Bobby will find innovative ways to get him catches/TDs. Next season is looking to be super exciting for us team!

it’s a fair point of view. If CJ and DeMeco can reign him in it’s a great trade. If not, obviously that’s not good, but we aren’t on the hook long term. I’m assuming they did their due diligence and he wants to be in Houston and will fall in line.

Emmanuel Acho seems to not like the trade...which makes me like the trade even more...that dude is dumber than a empty box of rocks...

Well I think Diggs likes Allen personally but on the field I don't think Diggs truly sees him as a top 3 QB. I honestly think he sees him as overrated and weak during the
He's a boot licking brown nosing coon. It's as simple as that.

Then he’s an idiot. Allen is undeniably a top 2-3 QB in the league. That isn’t debatable

    Mahomes
    CJ
    Burrow
    Lamar

Josh is top 5…but he only became a top QB with Diggs. Those 4 to me are clearly better. But I’d put him 5th

Side note: AFC QBs are a murderers row

Mahomes is the only clear cut above.
CJ isn’t in that class yet, stop it.
Burrow is in the convo but he’s hurt all the time. Lamar is not. He’s barely a top 5 QB

You could argue Allen vs any of those guys except for Mahomes (he's in the league of his own n no-one is even close yet).

Its not even fair when it comes to Mahomes, he's already in the goat conversation n he ain't even 30 yet.
CJ is up there (top 5)
    Burrow agreed
Lamar is clearly top 5 though

I also think Josh Allen is very overrated, so I’ll add that

That’s fair, but facts are he’s a top 2-3 guy in the league.

The josh allen is overrated takes are truly baffling. The anti wemby takes on here at least I understand because they’re a rival and it’s fans way of coping, but the allen stuff is bonkers.

it’s a true statement though. He threw a fit after a win because he didn’t get enough catches.

This is a genuine concern. It’s the reason I didn’t want him.
Hes not a top tier receiver anymore, still very good and I’m excited to have the talent. Just not the antics or locker room personality.
