Really hoping the Astros win. Scared the Astros will win, Espada's trust in Singleton grows so that he's overplayed and costs the Astros several games.
Singleton was a fun story for about a week last year...but it's over man. It's been way overdue to cut him. What in the world is the Astros brass thinking? He's a warm body whose a lefty and has no options who we get to pay pennies? It's ridiculous at this point.
Nook said he was still looking for $10 million or something. Is that fair? I wonder if the next luxury tax line is a concern. Do they have around $20 mil before the next level? If they sign Belt for $10. It'll look like any trade deadline addition will put them over. Are their any 1b trade candidates? But maybe it's too early for other teams to make a trade. Internal options are Loperfido and Cabbage? Cabbage probably just as bad as Singleton.

Singleton should play > JoBreu JoBreu needs to be that clutch DH/PH that comes off the bench late in games when you know you need someone to mash. Right now, he's nowhere close to that guy.
Javier's pitch count is creeping up. Maybe only 5 innings today. Just make it ONE run in those 5 innings, 90 PC. Bullpen must perform. Offense can go ahead and score if they don't mind.
