I think safety is a bigger need than wide receiver at this point. But CB and DT are definitely 1 and 2.
Well, that should eliminate drafting any diamonds in the rough who people see potential in. "Caserio trusts players who play against good competition and have "big school pedigree". You can cross off any small school prospects in 2024."
I bet if Stiggers is there in the 4th rd Caserio will pick him. CFL, playing against grown men experience is sometimes better than college experience. Also I think Caserio brings in a developmental smaller school OT in the later rds. Crum from Wyoming and Travis Glover is a small school guy that they brought in for a visit. I also think they like Christian Jones in the 4th rd range.
T Thats what I am talking about. Improve that OL get a position thats a question mark w Green who just might be ready to break out (bs he is a bust durnit) .. improve the weak link on the OL and get that new RB a little bigger larger hole and that QB, Stroud a little bit more time keep his jersey clean. Do it. Get er done. Watch us win games, BABY!
https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2024/...t-field-yates-two-rounds-64-picks-predictions 42. Houston Texans (via MIN) Jer'Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois The Texans' defense is shaping up to be downright dominant up front, with Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr. off the edge. Their presence will create pass-rush opportunities for other players, and throwing Newton -- a dominant interior rusher -- into the mix would only increase the defensive potency. He had 7.5 sacks last season. 59. Houston Texans Malachi Corley, WR, Western Kentucky We know that the Texans are still exploring options at receiver based on their interest last month in trading for Keenan Allen, and Corley is a YAC king, showing fearlessness and explosiveness with the football in his hands. The Texans have two explosive downfield threats in Nico Collins and Tank Dell, and Corley would be a nice complement to them. He broke or evaded 77 tackles on receptions since the start of 2021, second-most in the FBS.
Friend on another board who knows someone inside Texans FO (has been reliable in the past - esp. on draft) says Texans like lots of WR.... but not Corley apparently. Dunno why.
Interesting that Jer'Zhan dropped to us in the 2nd round when previously he was being mocked to us at 23. I wonder what happened...
