That Utah game was already cringeworthy, I get it, Altitude........maybe it happens but they need to be playing way better.
Minnesota lost at home last night to Chicago, so they're not invincible on their home floor. I thought the Rockets could make the play-in with 2 more losses and they just suffered one of them. So basically they need to sweep their remaining home games(GSW, MIA, ORL) which is certainly doable, sweep the final 3 game road trip(UTA, POR, LAC) which is also doable provided the Clippers have nothing to play for on the last day of the regular season, and then win either at Minnesota or Dallas. And then it comes down to the Warriors hopefully losing at least 4 more games. And that could happen since they've got Dallas twice this week, the Rockets on Thursday, a game left at the Lakers, and a home game against the Pelicans.
IMO the Rockets will have to win two out of the next three games to keep their chances alive. (Timberwolves, GSW, and Heat.) Meanwhile, the Warriors will have to probably lose two of their three games. (once vs. Rockets and twice vs. Mavs.) Not impossible, but pretty tough.
Once again the Lakers will be sleepwalking to a win. The Raptors tonight then the Wizards tomorrow night. GS also has an easier schedule. The handful of games that the Rockets botched which they should have won has come to bite them in the you know what. Now they have to depend on other teams to lose games which is not going to happen. You have to control your own destiny. They will learn from it but it’s probably too late.
I don't think any of us can be upset with the Rockets if they "only" wind up with 41-43 wins this season. Even for the most optimistic of fans, that was the best possible outcome we could've hoped for. The problem is that the 10th seeded Warriors could wind up winning around 45 games. Last season, the Phoenix Suns won 45 games......and got the 4th seed! The issue isn't the Rockets. It's that this is the most ridiculously loaded Western Conference in decades. And the scary thing is that it would've been even more stacked had Ja not gotten suspended and then injured.
Curry is literally the greatest shooter and off ball shot selection space creator mover ever. Also they are doubling Luka every possession, something we SHOULD have done.
Very true. Warriors also have proven winners and champs. We’re still growing. And we don’t have Sengun and Tari.
Only chance now is to catch the warriors, lakers have too easy a schedule and there's not enough games left.
