They ultimately do not care - the government is trying to kill as many of them, as soon as possible and they figure they will deal with any fallout down the line as long as they have cleared the land to establish Israeli extremist settlements in Gaza and the West Bank.
Imagine what they could have accomplished if they actually had autonomy, if their territories were actually connected, if they actually had control over drilling new water wells, new water, if their businesses were actually allowed to compete with Israeli owned businesses, if their police force was actually allowed to protect their citizens and prosecute people that commit crimes against Palestinian residents. To pretend they ever had a chance is laughable no matter which group was in charge. The fact that a terroristic Hamas replaced a corrupt Palestinian Authority only made it worse.

I'm telling you that Israel and international Zionists are going to pour money into Gaza to "resettle" the area as an extension of Israel, and it will be built on the bones of the dead Palestinians.... in many cases I suspect they will not even both burying the bodies, but literally pave and build on top of them.
