I like the Michigan CB but I'm skeptical that we'll take a CB in the first 4 rounds simply because of the two guys we signed and the fact that we traded to drop down 19 spots.

Sweat won the Outland trophy playing in a 4-3. He also played more snaps, including pass rush snaps, than most of the top DTs in this class.

Is he the best fit in DeMeco’s scheme? I’m not entirely sure but don’t think teams are pigeonholing him as a 1st/2nd down only NT. There is a lot of ability alongside being an extremely large human being.

I’m guessing Fiske just because he seems more the prototype that Demeco seems to like, but if they pick Sweat, I’m pretty confident that they will picked the guy they thought was best for what they are trying to do.

Does anyone have a list of Texans confirmed visits from last year?

Lol, you and I think alike. I went through the list and looks like 4/9 players we drafted had some sort of visit with the Texans (Stroud, Anderson, Dell and Horton). So there is some correlation, but nothing we can say is an absolute.

Fiske would be an ideal pick. If they plan on moving Autry inside, that would be a ridiculously explosive DL although a really light one.

He does seem like the ideal athletic type DeMeco would want. His combine performance can't be ignored. He's got JJ Watt type athleticism. All that being said, those little arms are hard to ignore. I posted this before, but here's the arm comparison of the OL player I'd love to draft in the 3rd round. Kiran Amegadji has 5 1/8" longer arms than Fiske. He could probably push him out of the way with that reach. :p

Maason Smith is one I'd like in the mid round if we don't go DT in the second.

Still think Id like to see the Texans acquire an additional 3rd round pick. Sweat and then one of (in order of preference) Fiske, Orhorhoro, or Dewayne Carter for Dline. And then Tez Walker and Jermaine Burton to fill out the WR room.

Sweat projects to be just a brick wall in the A gaps. Opposing teams would have to run around him. The other guys would be 3 techniques who can create more chaos with 1 on 1s since Sweat requires a double. Best part is each of these guys can acclimate as a backup until they are ready to see the majority of snaps. With the middle of the line solidified WAJ and Hunter can pin their ears back.

I think Walker and Burton both project as solid #2s in the NFL (Walker is farther away but still has that potential). Best part is they would be #3 on thsi team with Tank and Nico. Just not sure many defenses have the speed to cover all of those receivers.
