As a fan, I don't want to see Dubon in CF barring injury (i.e., he's the third best CF on the team) and I don't want to see Singleton (I'd rather see Dubon play 2B and Altuve play 1B than Singleton play 1B*).

*I'm not advocating as this being a good suggestion, but it is probably better than Singleton at 1B.

I'm excited to see Blanco tonight. His curve and changeup have looked sharp this spring. Javier adding that changeup should do him wonders and Blanco is someone who would benefit even more from adding another pitch.

"Slapping a dong" is my new favorite expression. Thank you for that.

agree, but dubie makes contact and gets on base. Honestly, I'd rather Dubon and Meyers start taking some practice at first. Loperfido can't come fast enough - but I still haven't seen him really utilized at 1st in this organization. I don't know why they aren't, at this point.

That's no parody for me. It's 100% ****ing accurate, lol. That did make me laugh pretty hard, though.

The offense is going to come around, and I expect at some point the return of Verlander and Framber to round into form.

Having said that - the Astros have to pitch deeper into games, right now they had Framber and France go about 5 innings a piece.... and Javier is only going to give you 6 innings.

We need pitchers going deeper into games - or we are going to have to have real swing pitchers that can go 2-4 innings once or twice a week and get the job done.

Abreu/Pressly/Hader should be the best in baseball - but Montero or someone else has to emerge, and once the Astros pitchers are healthy, they need someone like France to go long in the season.

As far as I know, Johnny Cueto, Mike Clevinger, Brandon Belt. Brad Hand and others are out there.

Belt over Singleton would be nice, and adding even a Cueto as a spot starter would help - but from what I am hearing they are possibly going to move a AAA starter to the big leagues soon.

Isn't Clevinger a sack of **** though? Does Cueto or Belt have anything in the tank? Thanks , I'll hang up and listen.

The only thing good about this start is that the betting line for them will go up. Mattress Mack F'ed my bets last season.

Does Montero or Singleton have anything in the tank?

Someone needs to get creative here . . . here's praying for a AAA guy. Has to be aSpaghetti, no? I feel like we used up all the good AAA pitching juju in the last two years. I'm all for taking a flyer on a few unsigned guys. Can't be that much worse than what we have.
