Doubt anyone worth it is available

That consumers the fact that Trae & Zion are likely available. Trading for Zion will set us back big time long term.

His stroke is solid...he has elite feel around the basket, confidence and tenacity, his shots around the basket are money on most nights. When he develops the feel and confidence for the outside, he will be as good as he needs to be. He's not where he is because he struggles with development, he will find success. He was showing that already this year...some of you with your critiques on a lot of these kids is just so short sided. Refusing to see true growth in a player is on you, not them. Alperen Sengun, Jalen Green, Amen Thompson, Cam Whitmore, Jabari Smith Jr., Tari Eason...just gets me pumped typing it out!

No thanks, Zion and Embiid are injury prone. For Joker maybe, but Kat I think that might be a hard pass as well. Sengun has a decent shot, excellent foot work in the post and a great passer out the post as well.

That didn't work with Harden. Green seems to be doing fine playing within the teams offense. Harden still so traumatized he trying to block his own teammates.

You all have to admit, Sengun gives us tremendous leverage in trades.

It feels like we are in a transition period in the league and there aren’t many big name stars that aren’t too old or too injury prone. Jokic, Doncic and Tatum are the only stars worth a big swing that don’t have big red flags.

I would not trade Alpi for them.

    Keep our core together.

That haul of draft picks, imagine the players we could draft!

One of them might be as good as Sengun!

Yeah, that's because he's the best player of the team.

Sometimes the best player on a team doesn't make the team better, sometimes the whole is greater than the one.

Not saying it is here, but those are the questions that Stone is looking at right now.

Whatever Paul Pierce thinks is the right thing to do, we should do exactly the opposite.

    Nope. (Couldn't resist lol)

Sengun's the most consistent good player we have, but his career vs Green's so far puts Green ahead of him in star potential. It's not close either.

    Year 1
    Green: 20-29pts - 18, 30-39pts - 7, 40+pts - 1
    Sengun: 20-29 pts - 2, 30-39pts - 0, 40+pts - 0

    Year 2
    Green: 20-29pts - 29, 30-39pts - 12, 40+pts - 4
    Sengun: 20-29pts - 14, 30-39pts - 1, 40+pts - 0

    Year 3
    Green: 20-29pts - 22, 30-39pts - 11, 40+pts - 2
    Sengun: 20-29pts - 26, 30-39pts - 8, 40+pts - 1

    Total
    Green: 20-29pts - 69, 30-39pts - 30, 40+pts - 7
    Sengun: 20-29pts - 42, 30-39pts - 9, 40+pts - 1

It's really not even close as to which player has the most star potential on this team. And before anybody starts with the "but buh efficiency" most of Jalen's big star number games he has incredible shooting efficiency, literally among the top few all time players with those numbers at that efficiency. So nope, your Sengun narrative aint cutting it right now tbh.

I probably agree for the most part that Green has more high end star potential. But this is extremely flawed analysis to reach that conclusion.

They have the ability to take a big swing if they want...

......but for who? I don't see anyone worth trading a young budding star (either one) and draft picks for, unless I'm just completely missing somebody. I don't see the level of player you would expect in return for a package that substantial. You would need an almost MVP caliber player in return and any of them under 30, I don't see any team trading. (It would literally need to be someone like Luka, Tatum, or Embiid imo)

I'd rather take the ceiling of the unknown limits of Green and Sengun then trade either for anyone who is conceivably available.

This is clearly just broad strokes, casual fan, speculation by McMahon
