**** no. My cousin and I and maybe some others are staying at the ranch cabins, not driving anywhere on a public road.

We'll have enough beverage, proteins to grill, snacks, vegetables to last us 4 or 5 days.

So I guess that is kind of a "watch party"...nobody leaves, maybe somebody enters.

The long-range weather forecast is awesome: thunderstorms and showers all day starting on the 7th and going through the 11th

This will of course change, but it almost makes me feel bad for the tourists.

Yeah so far the clouds are saying f**k your solar eclipse Texas. Have had a Vrbo booked with a group of friends in Concan Texas for nearly 2 years. Booked it before the owners realized there was an eclipse so we paid the lowest rates. Arrive on Saturday, leave on Tuesday. Lots of BBQ and drinking so we'll have fun no matter what.

Let's be honest: It's cool, but it's not amazing. This thing has been happening since forever and is entirely predictable.

Have you ever experienced a total solar eclipse?

Can't the eclipse be rescheduled to a day with clear skies?

One tip I got for the 2017 one was to go to a spot where you also maintain mobility, in case annoying clouds show up, and you need to move.

Count on traffic jams too, if you intend to go to prime-viewing spots (ie places of maximum totality duration near large cities).

Here’s another good one, with estimates of crowds.

I would like to speak with the manager. These celestial mechanics don’t work for me and my family. If you don’t reschedule the eclipse I’m going to write a ver poor yelp review and am going to say how Isaac Newton was very rude to schedule the motions of the earth and moon to such an inconvenient time.

If this happened in France there would already be riots.

The GFS continues to say f**k your solar eclipse. The other models are more favorable. Blend of all models is giving us close to a 50/50 shot in central Texas as of this morning...

If I can't go and see it, no one can (in Texas).
