Honestly if Jalen can continue his run and Sengun returns this team will be a trouble for anyone in the playoffs. This might sound crazy but i expect us to have more successful playoff run than OKC if we make the playoffs. They are too Shai dependent. Coaches will have time to prepare game plans to stop him or slow him down. We are harder to figure out. Jalen can takeover, Sengun can takeover. Fred can go off and drop 10 threes on you, Brooks is shooting like a mad man. When Shai has an off night OKC look very beatable but if you stop Sengun Jalen and Fred can hurt you. It's weird as much as i like them they are still very Sga dependent it's easy to stop one guy in the playoffs.

    Agree to disagree.
Jalen has shown the ability to move from side to side a bit on his dribbles instead of a straight line but it's still one speed.
Scoot has a better handle already, it's just that he's only like 6'1'' or so and not a good shooter.
But HE CAN get a shot off against most anyone because of said superior handle.
He just can't make them yet.
He's been playing much better lately than earlier in the year (not saying much I know) but he's a year younger than Amen and 2 iirc than Jalen.

Again Scoot's a young pg whose not that tall which is usually rough for this league but he can get his shot off very well imo.
It just hasn't been going in yet.
And he's shown a much better a much better ability already imo than older Amen or much older step-back king Jalen at being able to identify and pass to his teammates.
You know, the things point guards are kinda expected to do to run a team and make them better!

Well bummer the nyets won but with Atl beating the celts we now have the longest winning streak in the league with 9!
Matter of fact no one else has won more than 4 in a row.

Would LOVE to get it up to double digits next game!
    Let's GO!

Uhoh, don't mess with Calvin now! Btw Glen Rice only getting 3% of the votes and not even discussed by Ryan & Craig was the most disrespectful part of the night. Shame on you fans...imagine a Glen Rice in his prime, scoring 26 PPG against that 90s defense with the percentage he had back then in this era with much more space to work with.

Glen shot 47% from three on 5.6 attempts in his best season, shorter line, but even the years after 43% and 39% when it went back to the original line. He would shoot Klay like and to me is the easily the trait you want in today's NBA. Plus Glen was no slouch on defense either. Replace Brooks with prime Glen and you would have a contender next year. Pippen of course would be great, Barkley not so much in this era but also solid, just making a case for Rice :)

With this team and healthy Sengun in this era of basketball, the answer has to be Rice. Especially given the lack of shooting on the team right now.

With lockdale performance do we promote him to the starting lineup and make amen our sixth man? Or do we continue with Smith fvv amen green and brooks?

Yeah Pippen doesn’t give you that spacing.

Rice might be the answer for the Rockets specifically. The advantage over Klay is Glen balled while being a team's first option. Barkley would still kill because his rebounding and the decreased inside presence of today's game. His midrange and post up would be effective and among the best. Biggest disadvantage would be perimeter defense but that's less an issue for bigs.

My eye test of Scoot from early year to recent, I saw one of the worst players in the league if not the worst starter. Like barely above Daishen Nix bad. Near early season Jock Landale Forgot How to Play Basketball / Monstars Took His Powers shakey. (Ok thats back to Daishen Nix bad, but still..)

Definitely not NBA ready, he's got a way to go. At times looking like an overmatched 15 year old trying to fit in on the big boy court. He's like if Aaron Holiday couldnt shoot. I think Amen would be just as good a passer if he played as only a point guard

On the positive, he does have a decently tight handle. Exceleration to get to spots. Strong body. Though he looks short, his official height is just an inch shorter than Jalen Green. So he "should" have adequate size. The only ability he can bring now is drive and create contact. Though he really has to work on every facet of his game. Shooting, finishing, court awareness, passing, defense. Or get on the 40 year old model program
