Nah what closed the Warriors for good was not retaining KD, though they got that title against Celtics, that wss more like the icing to top off their 4 titles in like 8/9 years

If they had KD right now they would be battling for top 4 seed

When you have billions to spend you don't worry about a lux tax if you are legit title contenders

If things pan out for Rockets young bulls and they reach their potential then we will see if Tilman will put up or hush up

    TBD

everyone is so focused on the Warriors but the Lakers can crash out too and we got the tie breaker on them, right?

edit: i just saw Lakers got 3 games on the Rockets.

nah, durants impact hasnt been nearly the same since he tore his achilles. Durant lost like 9 straight playoff games recently. If they retained kd they would have had to gut their roster even more so klay or draymond wouldnt be there right now

If Lakers lose tonight, it would be 2 in the loss column with Rockets holding the tiebreaker- almost the same as being back 1 in the loss column to GSW.

Next up Lakers have a 6 game road trip starting in Milwaukee

Its a team game, and he had Irving with hobbled Harden or they probably beat Bucks, even before Irving went down they were up that series

With the trio in Cali he already proved he could win twice getting the Finals MVP twice

So I was basing it on that and how he played in that series when Harden/Irving went down, that version of KD with the warriors would be contenders right now, stronger than they are

Its a reason why the idea/rumor came about for a KD/Curry reunion before he was dealt to Suns

It's easy to like a winning team lol it's called joining the bandwagon. When the team struggles he is gonna go back hating.

Simmons is solidly in the Mobley camp he was very vocal Mobley should have been the pick over Jalen and his company the ringer almost gifted Mobley DPOY since all the voters there voted for him. Now Mobley starting to lose his shine ok he like the Rockets lol.

I think it's better to just make him a RFA and see how he plays next year. The only time Rox should consider an extension is if Jalen is willing to take significantly less than the max now.

At the current state yes that is the proper course of action. Let Green prove himself for an entire season.

But what if something unforseen happens like the Rockets make the playoffs and Green has some great first round series that pushes a one seed to 7 games or even bears them?

Would a great playoff performance change that?

The league will choose the Lakers over the Warriors to stay in the playoffs since Lebron is older than Curry.

But I just don’t see the NBA letting either of Lakers or Warriors not make the playoffs.

rockets will have to make it undeniable. Some of these players on the arenas podcast basically said the NBA is entertainment. Rockets will have to beat them by 40 to beat them by 1. I think the Rockets will have to go damn near undefeated to make the play in
