I'm glad Landale has bounced back and had a great close to the season. But what are the Rockets gonna do about the backup center position next year? Do they pick up the option on his contract knowing that they've also got Adams? Do they look to trade one of them?
Landale is a better rim protector and he isn't as slow as Sengun thats why the defense looks better since Sengun has been hurt.
Just two months ago, a not-small percentage of CF members were loudly proclaiming that neither Landale nor Jalen were good enough to be on an NBA roster. Not just that we're playing horribly, but that they just didn't have NBA-LEVEL talent. I may not be 100% on Stone, but man, I'm so glad some of you aren't our GM.
None of them will be cut. Boban just signed a 1 yr deal he will just not be resigned. He wasn't supposed to be brought back anyway except we cut the 3 dudes for Brook Lopez. Landale also won't be cut cu his contract is too valuable he will likely be kept or traded if another team offers great assets in return.
Literally saying Alpe has too much on his shoulder and Landale should have played better much earlier so that Alperen should not have to shoulder that much..... Cause and Effect.
Also glad that you and me are not GM either. I can make due without the million but getting pressured about KPJ and Felicia...... Different aspects and reasoning.
Both he and Green are not the same player as before. The season would look a lot different if both started the way they are finishing. YES I was one of the naysayers. I will take my helping of crow now.
I feel a lot of us were thinking Landale would be an amazing backup but sometimes all you need is time and unfortunately it took time without backing Sengun for him to play well. I’m just hoping this rolls into next season. Maybe his body is just a lot more loose and agile now and he’s fully recovered? Or maybe he’s playing well because he wants to get traded lol? Hmm…
