I do. And you're on page 9 so clearly a lot of people agree that it's noteworthy when the spouse of this team's General Manager says stuff like this.
In all seriousness, I have never had a single person that knows her claim she is anything but a good person…. So her wading into the water to respond to bottom feeder scum is an odd look. The only thing more odd is her shutting down her social media accounts.
They didn’t get a lot of interest for the price they were asking. He was struggling a lot at the time and had a big contract extension possibly coming up. Even now, there is a lot of skepticism of Green. He is on fire but he has done this every season. It’s going to take a strong first half next year to get people comfortable. Im rooting for Green - he is excited to be a parent, plus I REALLY want to see what a backcourt of Green and Thompson could do long term … could be Showtime kind of NASTY.
All we need to do is look at the trade deadline activity and use some deductive reasoning. I dont think he was either shopped heavily or that teams were not interested. Stone did his due diligence, but I doubt Jalen was ever really available short of a true star acquisition.
We are crowded at SG/SF and IMHO one will need to go to clear PT for the others...... Green, Cam, Tari, Brooks, Amen, Tate - and a few others.... DD
Yeah - I can’t decide if he is stupid or is going through something in his personal life. He does know people around the Rockets - and he built up some relationships…. Then he basically decides to destroy it all with posting texts from Green and flames Green for zero reason and then goes after the wife of the GM… just really dumb.
Green, Thomas and Whitmore are the future at the 1-2….. Eason needs to stay healthy but he can get minutes at the 3-4 and Jabari at the 3-5…. Sengun at the 4 and some at 5… and if we are at the top of the lottery I think they look at Sarr to play the 5 or go elite shooter like Sheppard.
I wouldnt rule out Stone feeding him some BS to see if he would spill it and lo and behold. Raf probably told Felicia to chill and she did. This is Sun Tzu level stuff.
Green was definitely available, he was involved in talks for Bridges amongst others. The Rockets were not giving him away - and the offers they got were low. They were low in part because he is closer to free agency.
But why would any smart GM want to leak the info that he was trying hard to trade a player but nobody wanted him? Wouldn't it seriously tank the player's market value? Normally GMs would want people to believe that his players were hot commodities to create leverage in trade negotiations.
If you are requesting a kings ransom how interested are you in moving him? If another team is willing to mortgage the franchise then you take the deal obviously. We already have Brooklyn on the guillotine anyway. Edit: Lucky for us they balked because Bridges is buns right now.
Are you serious? KPJ was given practically for free. Not sure what that has anything to do with Stone somehow giving complete access to a total stranger. The anger to Stone seems weird to me dude has done nothing but a great job rebuilding this franchise. Rox might even break 0.500 just 3 yrs after hitting rock bottom, have 6 studs and several lotto picks incoming from the Nets and you still hung up over KPJ?
