Don't see why Adams wouldn't be ready. It'll have been about a year since his surgery.

 

Watching the entire Wizards team making it a mission to make sure anyone but Jalen Green had the ball in their hands was hilarious.

 

Wendy was pretty much etched in stone on draft night, plus he's played well enough.

 

On the plus side it was a fun game to watch last night as a Rockets fan.

On the minus side - I have a gnawing sense of fool's gold because if you designed a team that is going to make this Rockets team look good - it's basically this Wizards team.

League worst, at "home" that they're trying and failng to leave (though as usual, Capitol 1 arena is 25-50% visiting fans), trying to tank, without their 2 best players, without their top rookie, with absolutely no commitment to defense and Poole doing goofy stuff and with ... Richaun Holmes as the only theoretical big man, it just doesn't get any easier for a team with explosive athletes like Green/Thompson energetic grinders like Brooks and JockBlock Landale

 

Good , we finally are not among the worst teams in the league

 

I would not call it Fools Gold, but I do take regular season with a grain of salt....even though that is the only data collection one can get before the Playoffs.

The Play In like the INST are gimmicks in my opinion......the real deals are 6 or 7 Game Series

At the same time Green is having his great plays, Haliburton is shooting 20% from 3 or worse......but played 58 games of good basketball....

 

Definitely on easy street right now with our schedule. Four out of six games against top 4 lottery teams. Have to play semi-competent teams tomorrow and Saturday, then we get the Blazers again, then the schedule gets real tough to close out the season.

I suppose we can hope some playoff teams will be load-managing their stars?

 

Jalen had a solid outing, continuing his confident shooting of late. His defense and effort level have improved. Based on the advanced stats, the Wizards were only 4-12 against him. Once he made a few shots and the Rockets got serious about rebounding the ball, the game was over.

Fewer TOs too.

Let's see how Jalen and company fare against a veteran Chicago team that usually gives us trouble. The Bulls will certainly bring more of a game plan to the action than the Wizards did.

It’s a make or miss league. If we make shots, we can beat anybody and anybody can beat us. IMO injecting Amen into the starting lineup and playing Jabari at the 5 is very good lineup. 3 ball handlers is the key

 

It IS fool's gold but Amen is so fun to watch.

 

This is a ridiculous stat.

 

Record and net rating stuff are awesome, but…

I would expect statmuse to realize we are not 2.5 games back from taking their spot. If we finish the season with the same record, they are in and we are out. At this point it’s still more likely to take over the Lakers spot than the Warriors.

And I think that’s how I would want it to happen. I’d rather bump the Lakers and have to play the Warriors to stay alive.
