Currently Warriors and Lakers have an easier strength of schedule, Mavs do too. We play the Mavs twice so that might be interesting. Another thing to look at though is the Suns have the second toughest which is something to keep an eye on. I think we should be including the Mavs and the Suns in this playin race.
It's nice to see the team picking it up hopefully through the end of the year, but I don't see Lakers or Warriors falling off enough for us to catch them sadly. But the improvement has been really nice.
I was including the Mavs til they held on and beat the Nuggets yesterday. At this point, if we were to catch Dallas, we'll have already passed the Lakers(and possibly the Warriors) in the standings. Tonight, both LA and Golden State play at home. So pull for the Hawks and Knicks.
I been avoiding games because it seems every time I watch the Rockets start doing bad. I'll keep not watching, although seeing the highlights, it appears this has been an awesome stretch run.
Thanks for the info. But it kind of pisses me off that the Rockets are put on every team's easy opponents list, including Portland and Utah. I hope they now go out and demolish every one of those teams.
Warriors play Mavs twice too, Lakers, Wolves, us so I don’t care for SOS that much. They could easily lose 5-8 games.
Crazy how we're like 3 games back of the play in as of March 19, 2024 with 15 games to go sitting at 32-35 and 11th place. I think we lose 6 of our last 15 games games due to matchup analysis and we finish the season 9-6 and overall 41-41.
The Dallas-Minny-GSW-Miami-Dallas stretch will really define the season. Praying Whitmore gets healthy soon, we really need the extra firepower.
This little stretch killed us. Should've been 4-1 and not 1-4 Tue, Feb 6 @Indiana L132-129 23-27 Fri, Feb 9 @Toronto L107-104 23-28 Sat, Feb 10 @Atlanta L122-113 23-29 Mon, Feb 12 vsNew York W105-103 24-29 Wed, Feb 14 @Memphis L121-113 24-30 Thu, Feb 22 @New Orleans L127-105 24-31
This exact same squad, with this season's experience, with better health, with addition of Adams is an easy play-in team next season if not a playoff team. Amen and Cam only took off after Tari went down - we never saw them clicking together. Green and Sengun were about to have their best streak of games together, even Sengun's assists were picking up again. Jabari's shooting will be close to elite levels next season and he will be stronger. We did something other teams are afraid to do - we gave big minutes to all 6 of our young core. It was their first season with serious coaching. We're going to get rewarded for that with more internal improvement than other teams. We can be very picky with our moves this summer.
They pretty much have to go undefeated at home the rest of the way. I can't see them winning at OKC or Minnesota. Also, Utah is very good on their home court, and the Rockets play there 2 more times.
And it's too late, baby, now it's too late Though we really did try to make it Somethin' inside has died And I can't hide and I just can't fake it Oh, no, no, no, no, no (No, no, no, no)** ** - Although I'd like to be proved wrong.
Looking at the schedule has me really hopeful. Combine that with the way Jalen Green has been playing lately and we definitely have a shot at the playin. The Minnesota, Dallas 2x, and OKC games are going to be rough, but somehow we seem to do really well against OKC, so who knows. The clippers might be locked in and resting for that final game too, which would help us out. That game we have against the warriors could be huge.
