35+25 with a players option. He gets 35 million if he plays well and a chance for a big contract. If he doesn't play well, we essentially paid him 30 per for 2 years. We could also structure it as a 30 million per year with a 5 million players option like we did odorizzi. Where he options out and we still pay him 5 million.

Snell sounds very nice at surface level. I just hope signing him won't handcuff keeping players due for extensions. Astros have 9+ starters (not including Bielak or Blanco) whether they pitch 5-6 innings/start or throw 2-3 innings/appearance out of the bullpen. Are posters not on board as that being a viable option for success. Hope Snell is "cheap". I'm still highly upset Dusty 1) prob cost us a championship and 2) donated it to Dallass.
