Flacco was so white they had to replace him with two more black QBs. Is this the first time a team has had 4 black QB's under contract?
If they didn't want him, why was there a proposed trade on the table?? I think you're just talking w/o thinking. It has been confirmed that there was aplayer for player trade on the table and it was not consumated because of SALARY. Also, if the $$ is not yours, why are you concern about it??
While they might be right ultimately, can you not just designate the trade as Post-June 1?? From what I understand, that would limit Buffalo's dead money to only $8M instead of the ludicrous amount it currently is. I believe that's allowed, just like you can waive a player today, and simply designate it as a Post-June 1 move.
"There is no post-June 1 designation for trades. A team can wait until after June 1 to process a trade and will see the same cap benefits we outlined, but they cannot trade a player in April and designate the deal as a post-June 1 trade." https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-post-june-1-designation-what-why-and-how/
Gotcha. Thanks for the info! In that case, maybe the two sides are working on the framework now, and then will come back to it on June 2? Also, adding on, I think it makes way more sense to consummate this trade after the draft. I see slim to zero chance the Texans would trade away valuable picks in this year's draft considering how many needs the team still actually has, as well as the WR depth that's going to be there. The more I think about it, the more I believe both teams are feeling each other out right now, and maybe putting together acceptable terms centered around NEXT year's draft picks. Then once the draft is over, and if the Texans still feel like they would want to add Diggs, they can come back to it and not have to start the negotiations from scratch. That's my rationalization for why conversations might be happening right now. Thanks for listening.
Twitter is going crazy right now regarding Diggs to Houston. If he comes I hope he doesn’t ruin the chemistry.
Diggs was utter garbage once Bills change OC. With him and Keenan Allen killed my once promising fantasy team.
He just seems more of a Dallas diva type. I'll love him if he comes, especially if it's a great deal.
