LOL... the world's biggest proponent of "free speech" fires Don Lemon because he didn't like some of the questions Lemon asked him in an interview...

Elon Musk abruptly cancels ‘Don Lemon Show’ on X hours after taping interview for debut episode

Twitter is an insane asylum, not a hospital.

I dont see anybody saying Elon doesnt have the right to act like a jackass if he wants.

He absolutely has the right to fire him, just as we all have the right to point at the comic relief and laugh at him to our hearts content, as we are doing.

Elon's totally allowed to be whatever manner of buthurt clown he wants to be, though.

what does that have to do with his mantra of free speech, it's still hypocritical.....him and trump are alike, "do as I say, not as I do"

I guess "why do you keep twitching like that?" was a bridge too far. :(

Nobody is saying anything like that.

We're all just laughing at Elon, Mr. "no holds barred" guy, folding up after one interview from a journalist he hired to conduct a to-be-shared-on-my-platform interview.

He has every right to fire an employee -- so no particular need to keep posting about that -- and not even Lemon seems bent or anything. Some of us find it amusing that so many of these talk-tough guys have the fortitude of rotting sears sucker. Trump and Elon both love their social media attention but neither can handle criticism better than your average tear-fountain kindergartner.

Twitter, the upcoming all-encompassing app ranging from payments to YT, is heading towards where diverse views thrive. To prove this, they’ve signed a contract with a black individual from a formerly misunderstood liberal media outlet. His very first interview is going to push boundaries.

Then, thin skin interfered with the marketing plan and business model.

Canceling a deal is different from banning him from Twitter.

Don Lemon is an employee of Musk?

I agree with you that X is a private company and Musk should be able to ban anyone he wants for whatever reason he wants. That though isn’t free speech and all of those who were calling for “free speech” when Twitter was banning conservative voices were banned seem awfully quiet in this and other cases.

I don't have "free speech" at my job, at least if I want to keep it.

I agree but I’ve never argued that private companies are required to have free speech. I’ve argued the opposite.

Musk himself though said he was a “free speech absolutist”
