Well, one thing we know for sure is there are no questions around Sengun's value to this team. He is already better than the majority of Centers in the league and only 21 years old. He's getting the max extension. The focus now goes on Jalen to see if his game can rise in the wake of this disaster and be a leader of men out there.

Yeah there’s a path for Green to become a positive player but he will never be anything like Fvv and won’t be replacing him.

Then find a better player that will supplant Fvv as the 1a/1b. We want to add to this, not take one step forward just to take a step back by getting rid of Fred.

    Found this on NBA.com:

The Rockets’ starting lineup has played 754 total minutes this season, second most among all five-man units and the most for any Houston lineup in the last 13 seasons.

That is basically inviting injuries amongst starters...

In 2019 De'Aaron Fox had a grade 3 ankle sprain and was out for 5 weeks. Alpi should come back to the US in the Summer to continue rehabbing that ankle.

I sure hope Alpi is far past rehab by summertime.

After taking a break from basketball to refresh, I want him back in Houston so he can practice, do drills and train with teammates and staff. For young players like Alpi, the best offseason prep for the NBA is with other NBA players.

Amen's injury and illness and Tari's unavailability are what strained the starting lineup so much. Just imagine the effect of both Amen and Tari getting 20 mpg each over the entire season.

Al P has a bone bruise in his knee on top of that, though. Still should be fine for the summer barring any setbacks.

Rather see Smith take over the center position and go small with Whitmore in the starting lineup. Most likely it would be Uncle Jeff in that position though.

Alperen said in his Instagram post that his knee is completely fine and he only needs treatment for his ankle.

Alpi's young and works hard on being as stretchy as possible. If we made the playoffs, he'd probably be close to ready.

Of course, there's no way we'll make the playoffs, so the point is moot.

Hope he works on his 3pt shot.. he doesn’t need much lift from looking at his shooting form…

could use the time to work on his shooting form overall..

Please come back with an improved 3pt shot to unlock senGOD

Free throws first, then 3's. FT's are more important to his dominant scoring position, 3's are a side bonus to his game, not the focus. Let him get that FT up and then the range will likely come easier too. Don't forget, Sengun doesn't actually shoot many traditional jumpshots, his midrange is all unorthodox. We need to allow for the fact he's not a natural shooter and aim for the easier wins first.

Yeah, no need to cut or jump or any of that. Stand there and make 10,000 free throws a day until you're ready for action. Sengun in the mid-80s FT% is a lot more impactful than if he adds 3% to his low volume 3.

I actually think if he becomes an 80% FT shooter he's an all star. If he also adds true FT length range in the flow of the game he's a full blown franchise player (in the true sense, as in - potential realized, not just projecting) 3's be damned. After that a solid 3 coming through in 2-3 years just in time for him to become a megastar and compete for chips. Can't wait.
