A24 has done it again - they have released another emotional masterpiece. This is, without a doubt, the best movie I've seen this year. With some of the best writing and direction I've ever seen, this movie was moving, powerful, bittersweet, and painful.
lol, you know how dem hoes be. All joking aside, the cinematography and editing is fantastic, wouldn’t expect anything less from A24. They know how to shoot movies.
Different tastes, got it. I can respect that. You are part of the 2 million dollar box office over the last 18 days. Nothing wrong with liking small niche movies that few people care to ever pay to see.
I heard a review on this while back. Not sure if the critics got an early screening / or if the film played at a film festival, but they were raving about how good it was.
Saw this one again last night on VOD. That ending, absolutely soul crushing. And I’m an action movie junkie. A debut feature film? Celine Song ain’t nothing to *** with. She can make some godamn movies like a mofo.
For some reason I am more inclined to find sympathy for the military service guy than Arthur or Nora/Na Young the heroine.
oh I’m pro Hae Sung like a mofo. I don’t want to spoil anything but damn son the what ifs. If I had to compare this movie to? La la Land? Does that make any sense lol
I appreciate your strident advocacy for this film. The fact that this movie is of no interest to someone indicates a profound lack of empathy and the utter loneliness of having never truly been in love. Poor souls, in this and any prior life.
We watched it tonight and I'd give it a 6 out of 10. The dialogue was very slow and I just couldn't figure the two main characters out; even at the end. Sorry but I would not recommend this movie.
