He's out at least 2 - 3 months from the looks of it.

I guess sprain. Sprain takes longer to heal and hurts more. I've done this sprain before.

At best that's a grade 3 sprain. Based on him not being able to walk and thinking his ankle is ****ed up when it doesn't look like a compound fracture. I got a grade 3 before and I couldn't walk for a month and ankle stability is permanently affected.

Rockets need to take recovery and PT seriously or his career is going to constant re-occuring sprains.

Reminds me of the Christian Wood Sprain. He was out for 6 weeks plus the All star break.
    Gonna miss him play.
Rockets can still get half of these games remaining

This has to be the best angle out there. It looks like either a partial fracture in his ankle or the worst sprain ever. It doesn't look like a knee injury imo because survived knee hyperextensions before. Remember sth like that happened he walked it off. This doesn't look like an injury that lingers to the next season.

Looking at it again seems like a bad ankle injury plus his knee extended, so could be both

I did that to my foot in 2022. Broken foot & ankle - foot takes forever to heal, he'll probably get screws. It's what Zion and kd had too

He’s the one player we couldn’t afford an injury. Were doubled up at every position except ALP. No one has his skill set.

Or bad enough that he knows he won't be back in a week and the Rockets really need to win every game they possibly can to make the play in.

Watching that video has me really worried about a tibial plateau injury...

But yeah, otherwise, PCL and ACL.

I'm FAR more worried about his knee than his Ankle. The ankle will likely heal long before the knee.

I doubt the ankle is broken. I think it's a bad sprain.

My armchair opinion is that he'll be pushing to make it back by the season opener next year.
