I don't think he'll last that long. I would guess maybe 40, at most. That's just me throwing a number out there though.

Like everyone else here, this excites me. Chasing Will Anderson last year worked out better than anyone expected.

10-7 was great; smacking down the Browns was awesome! But let's not drink too much Kool-Aid. Trading up again is very risky for a team that lacks roster depth. Texans need more draft picks, not less.

2021: Didn’t have 1st/2nd round picks (traded up in 3rd for Nico Collins)
2022: Traded down for Kenyon Green; traded up for John Metchie & Christian Harris
2023: Traded up for Anderson, Scruggs, Dell

MHJ is probably too expensive for us to move up and the other 2 WRs are likely also out of our reach. However, maybe Bowers falls a bit because of the talent at QB, WR and OL. Adding him would really give us a dynamic receiving corps and if we resign Dalton, I see a lot of 2 TE sets being run.

I'm not sold on Texas TE, ran a little slow and didn't look very dynamic.

If you can play, you can play.

I remember Allen Lazard at Iowa State, he was an absolute beast. I had no idea what he ran, or jumped, only that the dude could make plays.
UDFA became a totally solid receiver

I wonder who it is they want so bad. Who do you think they would trade up for and give up more picks we really need?

An extra second in this draft would be ideal for a team looking to go deeper in the playoffs.

Imagine Chop and Newton on the same DL opposite WA.

I wouldn't have a problem at all if Caserio traded up 10 spots for Bowers.

Not sure where all these guys project to go, and sounds like Mims’ reported time was a fluke as he apparently didn’t do any shuttles, but I 100% want at least one of these guys. Odds are very good that you’d be getting a long-term starter. OL depth, especially later on in the draft, is always a priority IMO.

I think the Texans should trade back into the 2nd from 23 and pick up an extra pick or so.

Depends on who's there at 1-23.

No. 23: Houston Texans - DT Johnny Newton (Illinois) — Because one of the top cornerbacks did not fall and this is a deep class for corners, I think the Texans take the best available player while also addressing a position of need. Newton can be a key rotational player for the Texans. Coach DeMeco Ryans has said he wants to invest heavily in the defensive line this offseason, and Newton, listed at 6-2, 295 pounds, looks like someone who can pay dividends. He had 52 tackles, 7½ sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery during his senior season.
