The Gigantic, Glorious ‘Dune: Part Two’ Squishes Other Epics Like Ants Take the biggest movie you’ve ever seen and multiply by 100. The result: this brilliant sci-fi sequel. https://www.thedailybeast.com/obsessed/dune-part-two-review-a-glorious-gigantic-epic
Wow, hadn't thought about that magazine in ages. Every review I've glanced at is ridiculously positive. This will make me go to the theater for the 1st time since Oppenheimer.
We know it's going to look good. They nailed that the first time. We know all Sci Fi fans will likely love it. They did that the first time too. The real question for the movie is can they get the average movie goer to understand what's going on so they can enjoy the film at a high level too. If they can do that, it will land as epic.
According to early reviews, you'll be better off give the first film a rewatch before seeing part two since it picks up pretty much where that one left off. Planning on doing that this weekend, looking forward to part two much more than the first for some reason.....
Wife and I saw this last night, really impressive across the board. Visuals were amazing throughout, story moved a lot fast than part one. Performance were strong across the board, Austin Butler finally stopped acting like he was Elvis and was pretty good as Feyd-Rautha. Wife thought the first one was boring and confusing, she really enjoyed this one which is saying something since she had zero interest going in..... A
wouldn't the direction of movement be towards the spice excretions? so if the worms sharted. they'd be going backwards to travel through the air pumped sand? therefore belching allows the worms to travel forward into their spice vomit?
Saw it last night as well and agree with everything except Christopher Walken seemed so out of place in his role. Wanted more fighting/war scenes in this one. Zendaya be fighting her ass off.
Excellent movie that you should see in the best theater you can because the visuals are amazing. Is it as awesomely great as reviews are saying it is? Debatable. I think there have been so many crummy tent pole movies lately that people are starved for good movies. When an excellent movie comes along, its "the best ever!" because everything around it is poo poo. Still...excellent movie, see it in the theater.
