that was a weekend event for 2 hours watching a movie. Not the source of all programming and content.
Currently have YouTube TV for news and sports, HBO, and Amazon Prime. I don't count Amazon Prime because Mrs. rimrocker would have it for all the stuff she buys anyway. When the kids come home for Christmas, I'll drop HBO and go with something else like Paramount or Peacock and then keep switching every few months until I come back around to HBO. Goal is to always be under $90 a month.
If anybody's interested, it seems like new/returning subscribers (or people that somehow circumvent this) can get Hulu (with ads) for $0.99/month for 1 year and can cancel whenever. You can also add Disney+ (with ads) to this for $2.99/month. Not sure the Disney+ add-on is available for everybody, but it is for me. Here's the link
I’m finally there. But I need help. Comcast has pushed me off the ledge. On a recommendation from @Buck Turgidson I’m looking at fubo. If you live in Houston, can you still get astros/rockets games that way? Any experiences with fubo good or bad? I’m paying way too much for cable and the service is just awful Also any internet recommendations are welcome. Tempted to stick with Comcast for that just because it’s easier.
I got rid of Comcast a couple of months ago. ATT Fiber and Fubo. Yes you get Astros Rockets and no issues. Good picture etc
What @MexAmercnMoose sez. I put one in my attic, positioned it with help from TVFool.com, added a signal booster and tied it into all of my old cable coax feeds. Now any room with a cable jack gets HD OTA tv. That’s how we watch football on Sundays. Also, lots of amazing ethnic and/or religious channels that you will watch once then tell your tv to hide.
Way more work than I’m interested in but thank you! Looks like fubo does what I need it to do all the way around
I have a antenna for local stuff. Then I have one paid streaming service. When I get tire of it I get a different one. I average paying less than $10 a month.
