Halo TV Series

Wouldn't this show be cool if this show was about a genetically enhanced super soldier leading a desperate fight against a bunch of aliens on a strange, mysterious Halo shaped world?

 

Sort of like our orange president saw himself at the border?

 

Dr. Halsey (The main scientist)? She's a big deal since she created the Spartans and Cortana, but her appearances are pretty limited. Mostly appears in Halo Reach, which follows Noble Team, not Master Chief. She gives Noble Team Cortana to deliver to the Pillar of Autumn, where Master Chief is and then again in Halo 5, which is the first time we ever see her and Master Chief together. She is mentioned fairly often though.

Miranda Keyes (The young black scientist)? She only plays a role in Halo 3

The most prominent human character from the games (Sgt Johnson) hasn't appeared. Captain Keyes plays a prominent role in the 1st game.

 

Not really, though she is annoying AF in Halo 4 when she is basically dying/going insane. You fight against her in Halo 5.

 

I'm more bugged out about Cortana's uncanny valley feel. Ironic, I know.

 

This show is surprisingly a fun watch. This season has been pretty damn good so far imo.

I think they did a really good job of casting the main characters, not comparing vs the game as I never played it, but just from a viewer of the show perspective.

 

3 episodes into S2. This show has improved, it has a feel like Wheel of Time season 2, just all around got better as they found their footing, but with room to grow still, which is good.

 

Did they change Cortana? She looked different

 

They did.

 

The guy playing James Ackerson is very good. Right now, he's my favorite character on the show.

after MC ****s that zealot I stopped watching 2 years ago . The show runners didn’t play the game prefer to it clearly

 

It's better but your enjoyment will vary depending on attachment to original material. Also, only 3 episodes in so can't make a full call yet. It's definitely better so far though.

 

One of the few shows I'll watch even if woke just simply because I grew up on Halo.... I wish they would have chosen someone taller for MC, he is supposed to be like 8 feet tall in his suit.... Also he is too emotional, MC was a bad ass... Either way this new season is way better than the first, haven't watched the third episode but the start of episode 1 had the right vibes....

 

Season 2 is better with better pacing than season 1.

Its still missing a crucial component:

I still want to see giant space marines fight menacing space aliens on enormous ring worlds...ya know...Halo.

 

Joel Kinnaman would have made a beast MC. But maybe he got burnt out by the failed Robocop remake.

Agreed, but let's pray the rosary on this and perhaps all will be better. I am enjoying Season 2 more so far. It's good Halo is back!
