Yes, any PF who mostly takes 3pters gets less rebounds - especially a skinny one. For the player type who spends his time at the 3pt line and mid range most often on both sides of the ball, he's very good. He's not a traditional PF and I'm guessing you're comparing him to some old school PF's who should grab 10 rebounds per game. That doesn't happen with a JJJ who's DPOY. Why does that guy not get more rebounds? Because that's not his role.
Bari should be a mismatch at the SF spot. idk why we trying to make him into PF sengun should be a PF , just needs to slim down/ gain muscle. He has the quick feet. Thompson Wit more Bari Sengun ( REAL BIG who can defend and rebound and lob threat)
oh what a surprise he's a center. Does he shoot 3's? No, ok cool. Can he shoot at all? No, ok cool. He also spends a lot of times on the sidelines being so injury prone. Awesome Duren doesn't even average a full block a game as a center. Talk about getting facts right. Jabari has more blocks in his nba career than Duren. but but but facts Also has scored more points in his nba career LOL but but but i looked at the espn season stats. boy did context fail you
he’s a beast and wanted to draft him but we have Bari. There’s been good growth. I’m not willing to bet Bari will be the better long term player than Duren. I think our top 3 picks in 21’ & 22’ have legit questions. But in Bari’s case I think he can grow into a 3rd option on a contender and he’s got the work ethic to make it happen. Not sure why folks don’t have more legit questions about Stone’s GMing.
Are you comparing a center that has made zero career 3 pointers to Jabari? Lmao. That’s good trolling.
He does not deserve the word “scorer” anywhere by his name. 13 points a game is pathetic for an athletic almost 7 footer who was taken 3rd in the draft. Subpar offensive player quite honestly and shouldn’t be starting because he gives us very little threat offensively. Words you’ll never hear around Jabrari…”I remember the time he went off for almost 50”; “I remember the time he went off for almost 40”; “Thank the Lord that Jabrari took over on offense for more than a quarter and carried us single handedly on his back”, etc. Yes, he did have one game like that, but it was in the summer league against scrubs.
Then I’m a punk because his work ethic has him at 12.8 pts last year and 13.2 pts this year. Those are not starting 3rd pick PF numbers. Even KMJ averaged 14.5 points a game as a starter last year. KPJ averaged almost 19 per game. Jabrari sucks offensively (not defensively where he’s decent) and we need a starter who can average at least 17 points a game at PF. Offensively you can’t afford to have two starting scorers averaging 13 points per game (Jabrari and Brooks) and one part time legit scorer in Green.
Among players listed as power forwards on Basketball Reference (not sure what their methodology is for listing positions), Jabari ranks 5th in rebounds per game and 10th in blocks per game. Last season he actually ranked 6th in among PFs in blocks per game--I expect his block rate will bounce back.
