Im curious why we don’t take a flyer on him, particularly in a backup C position. He can play, he’s young, just hasn’t been given a lot of burn.

Thinly disguised "Find a way to get myself back in the league via ClutchFans" thread.

    Nice try, OP Sekou.

I remember when Stone used some good draft pick asset management to take on his salary with a 2nd round pick and then cut Doumbouya the next day.

Come on STONE - take a look Sekou Oumar Doumbouya - what can it hurt?

“Sekou Doumbouya choral until the end of the season

Franco-Guinean strong winger Sekou Doumbouya (23 years old, 2.05 m) signed up with the Roanne Basket Choir until the end of the season. He comes to strengthen the team in the interior sector following Jalen Jones' injury, and bring his qualities that led him to the NBA floors at only 18 years old. The Conakry native, who grew up in Fleury-les-Aubrais and trained at Insep, has always been a phenomenon of precocity. He discovered the ProB at only 15 with Poitiers, the ProA at 17 in Limoges and the Grande Ligue at 18 under the Detroit Pistons, who drafted him in 15th position in 2019. He will play 94 NBA games with the Michigan franchise, then two more with the Los Angeles Lakers in early 2022 via a two-way contract.

After a final season in the United States in the G League with the Delaware Blue Coats, Sekou Doumbouya returned to Europe last summer, waiting for an opportunity to find the floors. It is in Roanne that he will have the opportunity to demonstrate that he has lost nothing of his talent, made of mobility, touch and explosiveness. He will start his number 45 this Saturday during a friendly match against Saint-Chamond at the Halle André-Vacheresse, and will be qualified for the trip to Strasbourg on March 2 at 4 p.m. in Betclic Elite.”
