The case for Billy Wagner in the Hall of Fame

That would be awesome.

 

How in the hell is Todd Helton this close to getting in?? When the Big Puma came off the ballot in his 1st year of eligibility. That really pisses me off. Their statistics are almost identical except Helton played 2 more years. Lance smashes him in the playoffs. Hall of Fame voting sucks

 

And Helton had Coors Field help too

Besides being a great closer one of my favorite things Wagner ever did was when he called out Drayton McClane...unfortunately this led to him being traded, but still but good on him...

 

Todd Helton was a really good player. Todd Helton was a HOF hitter while playing in Denver.

 

There stats are almost the same. Without the benefit of that Stadium. And he has 2 extra years on Lance

Berkman finished top 10 MVP 6 times to Helton's 3.

Berkman had a .946 OPS at home and .940 on the road. Helton had over 1.000 at home and .855 on the road.

Berkman was undoubtedly the better player.

 

I might shed a tear if Billy get in...grew up in that era and bringing back memories of my late dad

I still don't understand how Helton is a HOFer and Berkman couldn't get 5% of votes to stay on the ballot?
