Thats a lot of investment at the position. A little rich for my blood I think.

I'm penciling in about $10M/yr for K, P and LS. Fairbairn, Johnson and Weeks. ~$5M, $3M and $2M.

He needs to work on his PAT, and should hit 100% of those. He's good for a few misses a season, or its so erroneous that it stands out in my mind.

But yah. They need to re-sign him.

$5 mil would make Fairbairn the 7th highest paid kicker in the NFL. Is he a top 10 kicker?

Unfortunately he happens to be a FA. His new contract will range between 4.5-5mil.

Yah especially bc I think the texans will continue the shanahan-esque one cut type running. That's the type that doesn't require a top notch rb to be effective and the type that you can find a diamond in the rough for (Ala t. Davis and foster)

He's almost there now. It would be a minimal increase. $4,412,500 under his current contract which he restructured into the future already.

I would prefer Austin Ekeler over Saquon.

Yep, re-sign Motor, draft Benson in the 2md and Carson Steele in the 7th.

Draft DeJohn 1-23 and play him. at S. If a CB gets hurt you can slide him over there.

You probably would have to use one of the 4ths on Wright

Austin Ekeler had a terrible season, and will be 29 this year. Hard pass for me. Same with Saquon. His numbers are not great. Texans would be foolish to throw significant money at RB after they just watched Devin Singletary have the second half he's had. RB needs to remain a very low priority.

Yeah I agree, that RB is low priority, and should draft a RB in the late rounds, but a lot of people here want Saquon, I just said if texans would sign a big name RB I would prefer Ekeler over Saquon

We should be able to get Benson in the third. Or whoever drops out of Henderson (less likely) and him. There’s a ton of depth in other positions in the draft.

I just don't think Benson drops to 3-85. Hope I'm wrong and just because this team has been lucky getting Foster has fans thinking that RB's like him can be found later in every draft and that's just not true.

I wouldn't spend fa money on a guy like Barkley or Eckler. But I would spend a little on a guy like Antonio Gipson to pair with Motor and draft a later rd guy like Wright or McClellan if I didn't spend 3-85 on guys like Benson,Allen, Irving.

    I hear you!

Not 100% sure Benson is worth a second but I see your reasoning. We do want to add to the back field at some point, I personally do not see the value there this year early but can be wrong.
