Everybody gets a ring post-texans: OD, Keo, Leach. CJ will right this ship dammit. Maybe not this year but its coming.
People forget Jacoby made a heads up play recovering a fumble in that same game which prevented a turnover -- near the endzone IIRC. Those two plays basically cancel each other out. Texans had a tall task winning @ BAL (future champions the following season) with a rookie QB, who was the backup QB of the backup QB.
Lol this is some grade A low expectations right here. If you are able to you are expected to recover a fumble. If you are the return man, you are not expected to muff a punt (something he did twice that day). That recovery happened on the 45 yard line BTW.
If you are able to, meaning, if you can beat 3 opponents who were closer to the loose ball? @1:54:10 Houston sports breeds grade A low expectations and an "insult to injury" sentiment. Jacoby solidified it by nearly winning MVP the following season for the same opponent. .
You're not trying to understand the take. It was stated in the portion of my post you deleted in the first response. The game was more on the QB (not necessarily Yates' fault due to other QB's injuries) than Jacoby. A quarterback throwing 0 TDs and 3 INTs is far farrrr worse than a muffed punt and FR.
Nah man. You just said something silly. Those two plays absolutely do not "cancel each other out". Unless you have low expectations I suppose, lol.
Never said that. Statistically they basically cancel each other out. Unless you have low math skills. Texans lost that game because the QB threw 0 TDs and 3 INTs.
It's one thing to have a wacky subjective opinion. That's fine. You do you. But when you start gaslighting everyone about a post you made like 15 minutes ago... Can't let that slide lol.
"Basically" was stated the first time and a second. Quote it correctly if you're gonna argue and quote.
TJ Yates was the real reason Texans lost that game. Defense was lights out and if he was just an average qb the Texans win that game.
This is why the theme to the 2011 Texans is "if only Matt Schaub was healthy", not "if only Jacoby didn't fumble". Yeah what he did didn't help but what the team got at QB that day was even worse.
Justin Reid, Honey Badger, Brian Hoyer, Brandon Brooks... But now we get to be the team that takes players from bad teams and turns them into SB winners.
