You do realize Stroud set rookie records with Slowik. You must not watch much football or have an agenda. I could see Slowik taking the Redskins job. Peters, Slowik, Williams or Maye, that's very appealing for a bright future.
I’m sure the offensive coordinator has absolutely nothing to do with arguably the best season by an NFL rookie QB ever….nothing at all. And clearly the rest of the league and the dudes whose jobs depend on it think that as well given the teams asking to interview him.
Like I said, he did good enough. I do think there are OCs that can do a better job but he wasn't terrible, he was good enough.
I've hated on Slowik quite a bit this season because I think he's his worst enemy. When he stays aggressive it generally works out well for Houston. When he goes conservative is when things fall apart. I LOVED his playcalling in this game. The route concepts were a thing of beauty and the NBC crew did a great job pointing that out. Credit has to be giving to the WR and TE coaches too.
Personal attack just because I think there are better OCs out there? Seems kind of extreme, but you do you.
Stroud is setting records. I don't think Slowik looked great without him. That being said, I look forward to seeing how he does with less talented QBs on other teams to better settle the issue.
Not my argument to make, yours if you feel like it. I'll restate I think there are better OCs out there that will better maximize Stroud and create a better running game. Here is a potential list by NFL players but I really don't care to do the argument. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...-why-the-cowboys-came-out-as-the-big-winners/ I simply think Stroud made him look better than he is, a decent to good but not necessarily great OC. He did call a good game today though, and as long as he remains a Texan I hope he continues to do so.
