I just really hope they don’t screw this up. But given Nike’s track record with rebrands, I think they’re going to tbh.

And any jerseys with a tacky/gimmicky “H-Town” across the chest like the Falcons’ awful new uniforms will be a major L imo. And I have a feeling that’s exactly what they’re going to do after seeing these teasers a few months ago. “H-Town” in Old English font is just bad.

Everyone keep saying this but I disagree. Let's wait and see before we say for certain "H-Town" is going to be a no for us.I don't like ATLs but I've seen designs I like out on twitter.

On the other hand, when was the last rebrand that went well for an NFL team? Actually curious.

I think everybody's focus on the script is a diversion. The key is making a distinction between H-town blue and Oiler blue with use of H-town Blue predating the Oilers. Using the color rather than the script would be OK.

The Texans have been mediocre, usually average, above average and below average. The last decade (+3 years) has actually been good except the last 3 years before this season. From 2010 and earlier we were an expansion team, so of course there was some losing to be had.

We're 152-202-1 in 22 seasons. When you take into account that we were a slow developing expansion franchise and had 2 terrible seasons in a run of above average or better (2011-2019), you have to admit that's not bad. I mean, we're not great or even good but we haven't been a bad franchise aside from the expansion years growing pains. 7 division titles (in 12 seasons), 4 playoff wins in 6 seasons (an average of 1 playoff win every 5 or so years, which can be lowered this season).

Look at the Browns and Lions since the Texans came in the league. They can't match that, now they're bad. Even the Cowboys have an equal amount of playoff wins since 2002. The Dolphins, who we've owned, are another worse than us. Throw in the Raiders since that 2002 season. Washington, Jets, Bills (even with their recent success)...I could go on, there are more than enough franchises that have been equal or worse than us, especially since the initial expansion era struggles.

Sure, but whats the league/fan/general perception of those teams vs Texans? You're coming from a Texans fan perspective. Outside of Houston? You'll meet Lions and Browns fans all around the country with no connection to Det/Clev before you meet a Texans fan not from Houston.

That kind of team loyalty comes with generations rooting for the same team. The Texans are less than 3 decades old.

Its been confirmed already that there is no name or logo change, its just the color scheme of the uniforms(4 in total) so there should not be a worry about the old english font

The fact we're getting 4 totally different unis should have people very worried about the possible appearance of the Olde English crap.

They can mix in the font without changing the name or logo

My only concern is whether good to play is good to play well.

    Gleaned from people who know.

4 uniforms - 1 home 1 away and 2 alternate uniforms which can be worn 3 times total. ( I think alternates can only be worn at home, but I may be wrong on that.)

Exactly. That's why I feel like it's almost guaranteed that at least one of these uniforms is going to say "H-Town" across the chest, which I hate. And if the alternate helmet is the "H" logo we've been seeing on the new caps, we should riot. That would be so bad.

Come on McNair family, prove me wrong please!
